Never seen so many chinooks in all my years in Calgary. Awesome!....for me.
For those who get migraine headaches, not so much.
People might think it’s hippy voodoo wive’s tale type chatter when someone says that migraines are related to chinooks.
BUT the truth is that they are highly related.
What is a Chinook?...it is a warm air front being pushed in over the Rockies, and it gets under the clouds and pushes them up. Creating a “Chinook arch”. There are 3 places in the world that get these kind of weather phenomena. Calgary, Invermere BC, and somewhere in Argentina.
Some say they get chinooks in their cities too. No you don’t. You might get cloud formations at times that resemble a curve in the clouds that makes you think it’s a Chinook. But it is not the same at all. It is due to our location in regards to the mountains and the weather systems pathways coming from the west to east.
It’s the pressure that Calgary experiences, that gives the Olympic oval the highest ice rating in the world at times...when it comes to friction coefficient testing.
So...chinooks = air pressure system.
Pressure changes in the air = pressure changes in the body(like a diver going deeper under water, or a mountain climber climbing higher) different altitudes effect the body due to the air pressure.
Some people find that antacids help slightly with migraines. That’s because antacids are helping the body rid itself of extra gasses.
But the severity of migraines fluctuates for many people and it’s common for sufferers to say, “I’ve tried everything and nothing works.” And it’s also even more common for people who have come to me for help and relief, say to their fellow sufferers, “you have to talk to Zac and get his help because I tried everything and it wasn’t until he showed me how to get rid of them, that I have not had one in years!” Even if you wouldn’t categorize your headache as a migraine, but are getting headaches more frequently than normal....contact me. I have an amazing way to heal these MFers. Chances are if you’re having one, you won’t see this post because you’re off your phone. But pass this on if you know any sufferers
