Protein shakes aren’t necessarily better or worse then whole food sources. The benefit of shakes is that they are convenient, they are usually low in carbs & fats and they are priced a lot cheaper than most lean protein sources when you compare them gram for gram. - 🤔For some reason though people have it in their head that protein shakes are some magic muscle builder. Wrong. - 🍗This photo compares the calories and protein of a standard chicken breast & 40g of whey protein. The only difference in eating 30g of protein from a chicken breast and drinking 30g from a shake is how long it takes you to eat and digest it. But the end result is the same. - ❓So are protein shakes necessary? Absolutely not. ❓Will they make you big and muscly? No they won't. ❓But are they convenient and more affordable than constantly buying lean meats? Definitely. - 🏆My verdict: Take protein shakes for the convenience, or because you’re struggling to hit your protein intake, or because you wanna look cool walking out of the gym shaking your protein around for everyone to see. My littlest big munchkin had his 15 month wellness check up today! While I’m a proud mama for his check up stats...my favorite kiddo Doctor EVER, pointed out that my little dude was a bit backed up! . Suggestion...Prune juice. 🤢 Oily mama suggestion...let’s try our oils first 😂! So! Here’s what we turned to! . When my kiddos are backed up or I can tell they’re having issues passin’ their business...I reach for our “push it” roller to help aid in getting job done! 😉 . Applied to belly throughout the day until poop explosion happens...😬 and boom. We’re back in business!

The approved food list is huge! Teaches portion control. Teaches you about much protein, veggies, fruit, carbs and healthy fats you should eat in a day. . Today I had oatmeal as part of my preworkout meal and post workout meal and I never felt hungry, like I did yesterday. I'm getting it all figured out! 😊 . No matter what the waste may be; time, money or pollution, it attributes to the relationship we have with ourselves as well as with our world. Not to mention, the physical damage we may be causing to Earth as a result of our autopilot habits. . According to the Plastic Pollution Coalition: . -Per year, 17 million barrels of oil are used to make water bottles (enough to fuel 1 million cars every year) -Plastic outnumbers sea life 6 to 1 (and that’s only from the ocean’s surface) -93% of Americans have BPA in their bodies . While Earth still continues to provide us these natural gifts for our bodies, she is rapidly losing her vibrancy. The colors of our beautiful, green and blue Earth are fading and growing more stains from the marks of smog, plastic, trash and oil. . Instead of continuing in our ways, with an internal sigh of discouragement, let’s make an effort to do the work to regenerate, energize and empower our Earth like she does for us. . Cuantas de nosotras después de haber tenido nuestros hijos encontramos en la comida un gran aliado y siendo totalmente sincera, la comida chatarra fue mi aliado por muchos años, llegando a subir en mi 2do embarazo 32 kg 🍗🍖🤤🤤, me escudaba en el embarazo y mi Lucas sólo pesó 3.300 kg ósea que el resto era sólo mío. Eso muchas veces me hacía sentir super desanimada por todo, así que un día tomamos la decisión de hacer un cambio en nuestras vidas o llegaríamos a los 40 años aún con nuestros hijos pequeños y seríamos una carga para ellos con algún tipo de enfermedad o cansancio. Queríamos tener salud para disfrutar junto a ellos de todas sus etapas y francamente No fue fácil pero era decisión nuestra si lo hacíamos o no. Así que hoy te animo a tomar decisiones que van a impactar el futuro de tu familia, no importa si vienes luchando con eso por años, lo genial es que cada día es una gran oportunidad de empezar y ser firme con tus decisiones. Acá iré dejando algunos tips que me ayudan mucho! A couple of years ago I never would have taken a picture like this. I never would have worn a dress like this. I never would have traveled alone, and been okay with having to stay the night in the airport with nothing because of a cancelled flight. I was a mom who was not confident in herself, her body, or her abilities. Fast forward several years and I am now a confident mom of 4 who has found her groove in life and with myself. I'm just a mom who decided I was no longer going to hide inside a shell and wish for more out of life....and I went for it. The thing is all it takes to change is for you to DECIDE you want to change. A simple decision can change your life forever...and the many lives of those you will touch in your lifetime too.

Sick baby + sick mommy = extra cuddles and naps together. He still throws up all his meds and has caught onto our putting it in food game and refuses that now too. So he hasn’t had his meds like at all today. His dr put him on a nebulizor which seems to be helping his cough/wheeze though. More often than not, I hear from parents of toddlers and young children frustrated that most meals- their kids veggies are left untouched. Don’t give up! Offer them on a plate when your kids are hungry (as an appetizer before dinner) and try adding a dip or sauce to make them more appetizing! . . . Dinner tonight was Hillshire Farm turkey kielbasa with Zatarain's dirty rice. I added black beans and diced onions and green peppers to the rice mix to make it seem like I actually cooked. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the turkey kielbasa and my kids really liked it too. I had a 3 ounce serving for 4sp and 1 cup of the rice for 4sp.
