These past few weeks, I’ve been making an extra effort to really listen to my body and eat what I’m truly craving. Some days I crave a big bowl of fruit for dessert. Some days I don’t feel like eating dessert at all. Some days, I feel like eating cake for dessert. For the past 6 years, I let my eating disorder dictate what I eat and don’t eat, but now, I’m finally starting to re-gain control and I’m choosing to eat the foods that I truly want to eat. And I can’t tell you how great that feels to me. . Tonight I was craving cake, so I listened to those cravings and devoured not one, but two big slices of this homemade hummingbird cake with a cream cheese frosting (made using cream cheese From @melaniesmedleys). This cake was exactly what I’m craving, and I’m so glad I chose to listen to my body and give it exactly what it was asking for. . . Since I went vegan almost 1.5 years ago I was and still am an oatmeal-lover. But a few days ago I felt in love with smoothie bowls thanks to Derek from @simnettnutrition! My favorite smoothie bowl from these days was this one: frozen berries with 2 ripe bananas, vanilla soy milk, chia seeds, a scoop hamp protein and peanut protein powder with amaranth and seasoned with cinnamon and lemon flavedrops. Today’s post workout bowl🥗🥔🍔 - 1. Salad w/ lettuce, cabbage, carrot, red onion, bell pepper & lime juice as the dressing🥗🥗 2. 1 pound (450g) of potatoes baked w. Some dried herbs (oregano, thyme, tarragon) 3. Hummus, & two 3,5oz burger patties made w/ lean grass fed beef 🥩 4. Srirachaaaaa🌶🌶🌶🌶 - About 800 cals for me in this bowl. Around 50p 20-25 fat and 80-90 carbs. As I’ve said before I’ve transitioned out of tracking my macros to a more intuitive approach, but because i have gained a lot of knowledge about calories/macros through tracking them for a while, I can eat more intuitively while still being in a ballpark of the calories I need. There are a lot of people advocating intuitive eating on the gram which is great! But there’s a difference between excessive tracking & just leveling up your knowledge about calories. So yes, I think getting experience with calories/macronutrients (If you haven’t had eating disorders or eating disorders behaviors) is beneficial bc it gives you the skillset to be an intuitive eater long term. - Alright,,, that went from being a foodpost to a little ranty-rant. Just wanted to show this fireeee bowl I just had bench-day. Hope you’re having a Fantastic start to your week!💛😄😄😄

Enjoyed these delicious lettuce tacos for lunch today🤩 Luc and I went on a nice walk to go swimming this morning and came back starving! Sautéed some cauliflower, mushrooms, and onions for my tacos as well as added some fresh tomatoes, cucumber, salsa, and cilantro😛 I then made some yummy quesadillas for Luc, now it’s only a couple more hours until I get to see @momicado69 😩

Monday, you so FRESH 💁‍♀️ This past week I did a 3-day reboot to get my gut primed for probiotics and I’ve got to be honest. It was tough! I was so tired of beans, greens and nuts by the end of it. On the flip side, I was feeling light, energized and my mind was crystal clear ✨ Of course, what was I craving today? A salad.
