#food is #medicine
And so it begins... One of the most #nutritive and simple meals I like to make: chicken soup or bone broth. Taking back your #health is as easy as throwing all the right ingredients into a pot and letting it simmer...literally and figuratively.
I dove deeply into the world of Integrative Nutrition 12 years ago, when my first son was born with severe food allergies (and ADHD). I wanted to understand what was behind all this...and my research led me to inflammation>the immune system>the gut>nutrition. And no conventional doctor, neither pediatrician nor allergist, could help me. Because #nutrition is not something they study in medical school. (?!) So I began to read ALL the books, ALL the labels and I learned that food really is medicine.
What we eat affects our health in amazing (or devastating) ways. But if we listen to our bodies...we can figure out how to #heal ourselves. Now I’m a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, here to share what I’ve learned—in the hopes that I can help someone, anyone take back their health and their power.
Homemade #chickensoup is chock full of minerals, amino acids, calcium/magnesium, gelatin, etc...and is an amazing immune booster that’s easy on the digestive system. I like to use a quality #organic 4lb chicken and leeks, big bok choy, celery, carrots, onion, garlic, brussels sprouts and whole peppercorns.
