What’s your food rule? No carbs after lunch? Or maybe no sugar? . Food rules tend not to work. Banning foods ourselves only makes us want it more and then it sets us up for this cycle of going on and off the food rule. This creates food anxiety and further problems. . Rather than have rules, have GUIDELINES which you follow most of the time. . I remember when I went vegan I told myself ‘if I want to have seafood from time to time I can’. Whilst I wanted to follow a vegan diet I also didn’t want to deprive myself. But you know what, as much as I loved seafood I couldn't do it, I never had it again. But the guidelines are still there if I want something non-vegan from time to time I will have it. This way you can never fail! . And yes I have not been 100% in veganism, I have had dairy since my transition 4 years ago, in the form of Chocolate!!!!! Kit Kats 🤦🏽‍♀️ . . . . . .
