It’s always up to us. Ask yourself, what is inside my heart space right now? Negative energy comes from a place of unhappiness and a lack of harmony between our inner and outer worlds. • Sure, we can have off days...but the question is, what do you do to gear shift when this happens? • Some quick ways are... •Mindful breathing-Long slow deep elongated breaths for at least 10 counts •Meditation-even a quick guided 10 minute meditation can press our reset button •Exercise-dispersing built up energy or emotion and pushing this up and out of our bodies can work magic •Take a walk in nature, or take your shoes off and walk or sit on the earth or grass to ground. •Laughter-humour really can move stuck emotion. Watch some comedy. There’s nothing like a decent belly laugh. •Hug-don’t be afraid to say to a friend, lover or your child, “I’m having a shitty day, can I have a big hug?” Give people the chance to know what’s going on inside for you, so you own it. This is the granola that I used on my yogurt for breakfast. Most granola is high in sugar. This wasn't too bad, 7 grams per serving. If you are a diabetic or watching your sugar intake, (which we all should be doing ) put a limit on how often you eat this during the week. Добрый вечер, дорогие мои!🙋Сегодня вас ожидает непростой монолог, так сказать "пост-откровение": я постараюсь по максимуму рассказать, что же меня привлекает в этом спортивном мероприятии, и что является собственно мотивацией бегать марафоны. Я надеюсь, вам будет интересно, и вы подчерпнете для себя что-то новое. Так что присаживайтесь поудобнее и поехали🎉 Стоит сказать, первый свой "марафон" я пробежала, когда мне было 15 лет. На тот момент я и не думала, что так полюблю это дело🙃Инициатором была моя близкая подруга, она буквально "притащила меня за уши" в контору "World class" (Алматы) мотивируя, что, мол, вместе веселее😁Ну, я и пошла, а чем еще заняться в выходной день?🤔Конечно, бегать марафоны😅 Дистанция была 9.8 км, казалось бы, немного, но уж поверьте, в столь юном возрасте, для меня это была огромная цифра. На тот момент я не занималась спортом вообще, если только не нужно было сдавать нормативы по физкультуре😂 😳💪🏻И я совсем не понимала предназначения всего происходящего, ну бежишь ты бежишь, а в чём собственно сила, брат? 🤔 Именно в свой первый марафон я осознала для себя очень важную вещь❗ Когда ты участвуешь в мероприятии такого масштаба, ты невольно становишься «частью общества», и кроме того далеко не у каждого есть цель побить реккорд, большинство приходит «по фану», но это неважно, ведь именно в эту минуту вы все объединены общим делом, и уж поверьте, такая энергетика, такой адреналин, это просто нужно прочувствовать. Living WHOLEHEARTEDLY starts with the love we give ourselves. We are often harshest on our own selves. What does your inner critic have to say? Could you take a moment to check in and ask could we be kinder with our own inner talk, our self judgement? If we heard our own voice out loud, said back to ourselves, would it be something we would want to really hear? That voice could have been formed from old pain, hurt, jealousy, shame, guilt and anger from past perceptions, reactions, experiences, relationships or even those voices from family, lovers, friends, teachers or bosses. We may carry them around wherever we go, like a misshapen rucksack...an element of default, repeating cycles that are similar but different. The themes often the same...and will remain the same as long as we allow them to. We may go from relationship to relationship, avoid/fear relationships....or stay in one that under the surface is deeply stagnant or toxic...all aspects of an element of the unhealed inside our own selves. After all, it’s easier to ignore, blame or disassociate than deal with our inner world. We can all be masters of that. What is important is that we do the greater inner healing work required on a spiritual, emotional and mental level to release those old dimensions of being and relating. Doing this with some kind of assistance is essential for deep lasting change. Seeing a practitioner alongside daily self care practices for a healthy body mind and spirit so we are integrated and congruent with change and can move forward fluidly into a life more in flow. It is an ongoing practice to deepen our own relationship with ourselves too. This lovingness is then able to be shared... literally a flow on effect from the loving kindness we allow ourselves, the deep inner healing we achieve gifts those around us, we may find ourselves relating better with others, attracting similar people to our space, and perhaps being more present with others, better intimacy, deeper sexual connection, better communication and expression, a more open loving hearted way of being... Living WHOLEHEARTEDLY. It takes courage, action, cultivation. You’ve got what it takes. Love Nic 💓

Happy fall everyone! I am feeling so refreshed and renewed after a 10 day social media “fast”. I suggest this to anyone! Even if it’s only for a couple of days, do it. Having less distractions for a time helped me to tune back into what matters most. Social media is awesome, but it can be a huge time sucker. I’m glad I was made aware of some corrections I can make in my life to feel more PEACE. I also realized I need to give more of my undivided attention and be more present in moments and in relationships. I’m grateful I took advantage of this opportunity for self improvement. #ibelongtothechurchofjesuschristoflatterdaysaints During these last 10 days I have also had more time with my own thoughts. There is a reason why you're asking this question ... perhaps sit with it and find out what it is telling you. 🙏 Are you feeling like you are on a never ending study wheel? Are you missing connection with friends or do they miss you? Are you low in energy and you think by doing anything more it will tip you over the edge? Look at how you're spending your time and who you're spending it with. 👀 Is this a short term focus or a reoccurring issue for you? If the former, then only you know whether you need to focus and cut down on socialising for awhile. A good idea 💡might be to schedule in some social events with friends after you've completed your study! If this a reoccurring issue, then you may want to plan out your week and highlight activities you typically do during the week. 🗒 Now schedule in some down time and some catch up time. If you have awesome friends, then ask them to help you! This has been one of my biggest lessons to learn! I am a massive action 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ girl with a huge ability to focus and achieve ... When you think you've failed at something. .. Some days things just aren't going right. We stumble, we fall, we do what we know we shouldn't even sometimes deliberately. That was me yesterday... Thinking about it today and what happened, I realize that I just put too much on my plate for the day and I burnt myself out by the evening and turned to food for comfort (my old ways), instead of turning to God and trying to figure out what was going on within me. .. I stayed up late, overate and watched Netflix until I was uncomfortable and felt like crap. This doesn't happen very often anymore thanks to the Lords amazing help but when it does I feel ashamed and embarrassed. .. I feel like I can't share this with anyone, they will think I'm a joke. But the reality is, that if I don't share my struggles, no one will know that I struggle, they will only see the side I show them and think that I have this perfect life. .. Being genuine and real in both my faith and life is something I really strive for and I just want to tell you, I struggle too. I have bad eating days, bad depression days, days where I just don't want to do anything, days where the passion just isn't there, the difference between now and then though, is I don't stay there for days on end. .. I used to be someone who would go on a binge streak if I overate, but today I just ate like I normally eat and worked out like I normally would have worked out. It was a new day, God gives new mercies each morning, I chose to repent and walk into this day with God and get back up after I fell. You can choose that too. Seeing my baby girl @laurynaislinn after 4 weeks in Madrid, Spain, is the best...we found it hard to unwrap our hug when we first saw one another this morning. Such epic snuggles. Feeling her heart, mind and spirit opened to liberation and the greater world & the wonder of travel, different people, deeper connection, new friendships, experiences, culture, customs & a taste for a life with more of that... 🙏🏼🌏🌍🌎 Hearing her Spanish as she spoke it with our Colombian waitress over breakfast this morning made me so happy! What a way to end 2 years of her school’s Spanish Language Immersion Program. Blessed af.

#accountability It’s funny how the closer I get to a mini goal, the more impatient I become. Today’s loss was a good one....one that I’m proud of and would be proud of any other time! But “not enough” in my mind, to achieve my goal in the #leanforhalloween challenge. Back in August when I initially set my goal, I knew it may be a smidge steep, but I convinced myself that even if I didn’t make it, at least I’d be in striking distance. Seriously, who was I kidding? Why....WHY do I have a hard time embracing mentally that which comes out of my mouth? . This is all part of the #mindset that I need to work on and clearly have yet to attain. I say things that I think others want to hear or what I think I *should* say and believe (“Oh, so long as I’m close!” or “The number doesn’t matter!” or “Yes, at least I’m going in the right direction!”). I’m saying it....but struggling to really believe it. . And I know....I KNOW how far I’ve come. 68.6 pounds is nothing to sneeze at and yes, I’m very proud of what I’ve accomplished so far! But it’s that “not enough” mindset I need to work on. I was told by 2 different people today that I look amazing. What was my response? “Thanks! Still gotta ways to go though!” Really? How about “Thanks!” and allow that to be enough? . Yup. The mindset....definitely the toughest part of this journey for me. But I will never give up....and I absolutely mean that, embrace that, and believe that with all my heart. #teamnevergiveup as @the_fit_and_fabuless_mama always says.
