This summer has been such a bust for my flowers and I. 🥀🥀🥀 It all started back in June, when two families of Geese (for a combined total of 13 geese), stopped by for a long weekend. Not only did they 💩 all over my yard, they ate all my gorgeously red strawberries 🍓 and trampled all over the plants.
My new dahlias tubers only grew a few inches and have produced 0 flowers 😭 the so-called dinner plate dahlias are just regular sized dahlias (pictured). In July, my wonderful parents visited and created a new retaining wall for me 💗 unfortunately, all the plants in the original wall were unable to be saved and transplanted except for one coreopsis and the lamb’s ear.
My potted plants were beautiful in May and June; then, like a plague, these teeny tiny, lime green 🐛 arrived and chewed up all my black petunias and sweet potato vine 😤
Ugggh. Kinda, sorta ready for the growing season to be over for the year. Not at all ready for summer to end though (heck, I still need to find a to snow plow my driveway!) I’m just ready to put my garden out of it’s misery for the year and begin planning a flower re-vamp for next year!
