BANANA PANCAKES (2 servings) - 1 very ripe banana - 1 cup oat flour - 1 cup plant milk (I used oat milk) - Optional: add whatever taste you like, I used cardamom STEPS 1. Make the oat flour if you haven’t got any (see in caption above) 2. Put all ingredients in a blender or mash the banana and blend all the ingredients with a whisk 3. Let rest for 5 minutes 4. Cook on medium heat (until bubbles appear, flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes) preferably in a non-stick pan without oil or water 🍫 PS. The chocolate sauce is just some cacao powder mixed with agave syrup 😁 . #earthtomouth challenge, day 13 today! Whole wheat pasta with lots of veggies for dinner tonight. Lots of nooch too of course (more was added after this picture) ☺️ tomorrow is the last day of the “challenge” but I will be continuing to eat almost entirely whole food plant-based (with the exception of a vegan meal out here and there). Will also be really focusing on incorporating more veggies into my diet and eating intuitively. Cutting out the crap that makes me feel like crap!

Fruit gives you energy, it is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fiber, it is good for your skin, super easy to digest on its own, it hydrates you and it tastes amazing. Because fruit digests super fast, it’s best eaten on its own on an empty stomach or 2-3 hours after a cooked meal (if you have a sensitive stomach) otherwise it may cause bloating. For those interested. Here’s my high carb day. Probably still low carb for some but high for me! Carbs are from potatoes, beans and bread. Could have been better but I tracked as I went🤷‍♀️2100 calories and I did go for a bike ride today✌️#highcarb #highcarbday #refeed #musclegains . Breakfast: 2 eggs, 1 slice of bread(7 net carbs), half of a potato fries and sf ketchup . Lunch: Taco salad with ground beef, refried beans, queso, sour cream and 1/2 bag of quest tortilla chips . Snacks: Quest cookie, 2 string cheese, 1/4 cup of peanuts . Dinner: Cheeseburger on a regular bun with tomato, onion, mustard, mayo, queso, jalapeños and half of a potato fried with sf ketchup . . I’m stuffed!!!!

In seguito ai vostri suggerimenti stasera provo questo nuovo "format" nel presentarvi le ricette (ho inserito addirittura la lista ingredienti😱), anche se, non essendo un cuoco, la descrizione è da leggere sempre in maniera molto critica😂. Questo piatto mi piace poiché unisce tre diverse culture del nostro pianeta: quella araba col couscous, quella orientale con la salsa di soia e quella europea con i pomodorini e le olive 🌱. Ed ovviamente, è total vegan!😋. P.S. I’m back in Ithaca! I threw together this super late lunch with some stuff from my @greenstar_coop haul : whole wheat bread with local Susie’s Seitan, half an avocado, spinach, raw onion and stone ground mustard with carrots and hummus 👌🏻 I don’t count macros but just for fun I added up the protein and this meal alone had 52 g of protein! Fifty-two! For reference the DRI for protein for the average woman is 46g! My meals aren’t always this high in protein but it just goes to show that you have nothing to fear when it comes to getting enough protein on a vegan diet. I’d also like to note that this meal wasn’t insanely high fiber, around 16g, which means that I can reap the benefits of a high fiber diet without some of the associated issues. Moderation and balance!

This was one of my concerns for the longest time, that I'd not have anything to eat without the "variety" that meat provided. In reality, I've become far more adventurous and successful of a cook since becoming plant based. Since being plant based required a bit more creativity and preparation on my part, I've branched out and become far more creative than I ever was when I cooked with animal products. Even if you're not sold on it yet, give yourself a chance to become more open to new things. Hallöchen 🌺 . Oh man heute habe ich ganz schön viel Zeit am Handy verbracht! Aber das ist auch mal ok! Auch wenn es in letzter Zeit schon häufiger passiert 🙈 eigentlich bin ich aber nur froh, dass ich auch mal andere Dinge mache, als nur lernen und trainieren 😅 Jetzt gleich gibt's auch noch eine Runde Gymnastik und dann gehe ich schon ins Bett. Irgendwie bin ich super müde und mir war einfach den ganzen Tag schon kalt 😣 nicht, dass ich noch krank werde... Kann ich nicht gebrauchen! Morgen steht nämlich ein Wettkampf an und Montag meine erste Prüfung in der Uni 🙈 . Als Vorbereitung auf den morgigen Wettkampf gab es bei uns Reis. Ich esse am liebsten Reis, Kartoffeln oder Nudeln am Abend vorher. 🙆 Jeder hat so seine Ticks! Denn eigentlich wäre das für meine Strecke überhaupt nicht notwendig. #carboloading ist da völlig überflüssig 😅😂 . Jetzt aber zum Essen! Das ist Mandelreis auf einem Gemüsebett 😍🤤 . 🌼Zutaten 120g Reis (normalerweise nutze ich Vollkorn) 1/2 L Gemüsebrühe 40g Mandeln 100g Frischkäse Petersilie getrocknet oder 1/2 Bund frisch Salz, Pfeffer 1/2 Aubergine 2-3 Tomaten 1/2 Paprika 1 EL Tomatenmark Gewürze 🌼Zubereitung 1. Reis nach Packungsanweisung in 1/4l Brühe kochen. 2. Mandeln hacken. Ich mache das mit meinem Fleiechhammer von Oma, den ich sonst nie benutze 😅 3. Mandeln mit Frischkäse, Salz, Pfeffer und Petersilie mischen. 4. Gemüse putzen und kleinschneiden. In einem Topf andünsten. Mit der restlichen Brühe ablöschen und 1 EL Tomatenmark einrühren. Mit Salz, Pfeffer, Zimt, Cayennepfeffer würzen. 10 min köcheln lassen. 5. Reis mit Frischkäsecreme verrühren. Zusammen mit dem Gemüsesugo anrichten! 🌼FERTIG! . Wie immer ist das Rezept genau beschrieben und leicht nachzumachen. 👨‍🍳 Wir wünschen euch ein schönes Wochenende! ・・・ #Repost @johnnys.fitfood ・・・ PROTEIN 💪 MILCHREIS 🍚 MIT KARAMELLISIERTEN ZIMT ÄPFELN 🍎 ___________________________ Hier nochmal das #rezept , schwarz auf weiß: 1.) 100g Milchreis mit 150ml (Cashew-) Milch, 350ml Wasser und einer Prise Salz in einem Topf aufkochen. 2.) Dann die Hitze auf sehr niedrig zurückstellen und solange quellen/köcheln lassen, bis der Reis eine sämige Konsistenz bekommt. 3.) 20g Vanille Whey @atlassmartsnacks mit 50-100ml Wasser glatt rühren und unter den Reis mischen. Herdplatte ausschalten und bei der Resthitze nochmal ein paar Minuten ziehen lassen, zwischendurch immer mal wieder umrühren. 4.) Solange 1 Apfel entkernen und in grobe Würfel schneiden. In einer beschichten Pfanne ohne Öl etwas anbraten, EL Wasser dazu, verdunsten lassen, etwas Reissirup @reishunger über die Äpfel geben und unter rühren karamellisieren lassen. Cooked food is a drug. Some better than others, some really atrocious. But a drug nonetheless. I can overeat cooked food so easily. And it's something I definitely have to be around the rest of my life. Recovering from drugs and alcohol is one thing. The drugs I rarely see, not to hard to stay away. The alcohol is there here and again but also easy to avoid. But food. Food is something we need daily and therefore SEVERAL times a day I have to CHOOSE the right food, the raw food. The healing food. I wish I could see inside myself and know for sure that I am healing. But I suppose it's a test of my faith. I know in my heart it's right, I know things take time. But damn, when I make a gluten free vegan Mac n'cheese with fresh broccoli for my family it it's hard not to indulge!
