FUSION 51, 16” x 12” gouache, pastel & watercolor on paper
Hi all dear IG friends. Im sorry if I’ve been neglecting you, I’m recovering from a car accident and have a splint on my right hand as I fractured my pinky, luckily I'm a lefty, luckily my pinky heals and all my aches and pains will fade, and very lucky for so many many things;)!
I created this painting a few weeks ago-pre accident-when I was up and about!
As the late Gilda Radner said as Nana Roseannadanna’s on SNL ~ “.......Well Jane (Curtin), it just goes to show you, it’s always something-if it ain’t one thing, it’s another.”~
Caroline Kaplowitz ~ I continue to envision my paintings as records of not just their particular visual subject, but also my own changing attitudes throughout the creative process. In this way, I don’t resist including myself as part of the work, while avoiding having exclusive control over it. I envision that doing so allows the work to convey the give and take of human relationships-both to nature, and to each other.
