Watching the snow fall at 18 degrees right now has me reminiscing back to sunnier and warmer days. It’s presence is a pleasant reminder that life is merely a series of seasons - all of which will eventually pass. The happy times, the sad times, the good days, and the bad days will all come and they will go just as Mother Nature conveniently reminds us of. Embrace where you’re at in the moment and enjoy the little things - one day you may wake up and realize that they were the big things all along.
Sentimental part of the post aside, look at that horrible paint job we have going on. Look at those dangling lights, the paint covering the window, and the lights that I chose to simply paint over because I couldn’t get the screws out. Fast forward from when this photo was taken and that yellow and black is *mostly* gone now and the imperfections are a little less noticeable.
It’s important to always remember that life is more about progress than it is about perfection though. There will be opportunities in the future to fix the countless flaws in this project of projects - I’m sure of it. Don’t beat yourself up for being imperfect, incomplete, or for making mistakes; beat yourself up for failing to try at all. You only get this one life to live so live it and make some mistakes along the way! ☀️❄️🚌
