hammock cafe: since #doimoi policy to initiate open market under one-party rule in the late 1980s and the #embargo lift of us government, #vietnamese economy encountered a rapid bloom. it was when the transportation of products, resources and human labor among provinces and cities increased. then #hammockcafe appeared along highways and roads as resting places for drivers and passengers. they have drinks like #vietnamesecoffee, #icetea or soda. they nap, chat, or watch tv with soap opera, sports or soft porn at late night. hammock cafe becomes silent #witness of the transformation process of the country.
we are inspired by the subtle temporary form of this structure of hammock cafes, and how cafe guests relax on swinging hammocks. their bodies never stop moving, in the vehicles on the road and even on the hammocks while resting. just as the unending movement of the country!
