St. Catherine's Dominican Friary, Tallinn
This medieval friary is located at the heart of the old city of Tallinn and dates to the 13th century. The Dominicans pretty much dominated the ecclesiastic life of Tallinn - as they did in the region of Finland.
Destroyed during the protestant reformation in the 16th century, nowadays the monastery is again used by the 'Hounds of God' (a nickname of the Dominicans) and it houses a museum, a friary and a small chapel.
