Today's #mylittleitchstory is from @_mrsallen_ . Thank you for helping us to raise awareness of ICP!
"What a journey pregnancy was. Starting from my very first appointment we had excitement. Thinking I was having twins, ABS, Hypertension, Preeclampsia, Mouth Tumors, it was a roller coaster! Finally at 28 weeks we thought we were in the clear... my doctor said he'd see me in a month! Wait a month? I'd been going just about every 2 weeks, so this was new! Between that 28 week check up and 32 I begin itching .. CONSTANTLY. I go in for my appointment and my doctor instantly had me go to the lab for bloodwork. Sure enough - ICP. I had no clue what this was, I was on bedrest shortly after because I couldn't be at work due to the severe itching. My induction was set for August 10, I was 36w5d. After 31 hours of active labor my sweet girl entered the world! I'm so thankful to have had a doctor that knew about every issue that came up, and more importantly the ICP. I now have an almost 1 year old little itch that might not have been here if symptoms would've been ignored!
Don't ignore the itch.❤"
