OH MY GOSH ..
What an adventurous day I have had !!!
TODAYS POSTS ARE REALLY GOING TO BE LIKE A BLOG.
#ElebanaFalls have been No1 on my bucket list for sooo long, so today I set off to #Lamington National Park .
No 1 mistake.. I didn't go early enough.
A fair bit of traffic, making the return trip.
Be warned, if you are going to go up to #Oriellys Lamington National Park set off EARLY. In fact, make a plan to stay overnight at #OriellysRainforestRetreat (this is also on my bucket list) I am now REALLY wishing I had included it for today's trip...
So, I headed off down the track, quite a good hike down to Elebana Falls.
I had previously been told that when you reach the end of the trail, there are some rocks to climb up & over, to get the best view of the falls, that all photographers are posting.
I weaved my way through the walking trail and came to the end of it...
THATS WHEN I FROZE IN TERROR.
I literally, could NOT see myself climbing up & over these rocks, I sat there, on a moss covered boulder, listening to the falls that i had came to shoot, had longed to shoot for so long.
I watched people go up those rocks, like mountain goats ( sorry peops, i dont mean to call you all mountain goats, but to me sitting there frozen with fear, thats what i thought at the time 🙏)
I sat and thought... I'm here.. i could see everyone enjoying the gorgeous Elebana Falls, so I had 2 choices.
Get my crap together and act like a mountain goat, or, turn and go back up the track to O'Reilly's.
I unfroze enough to have a ciggie & cool drink.. all the while looking at those damned rocks, feeling absolute fear to my core.
DID I FACE MY FEAR & GRAB IT BY THE SHORT & CURLY'S .. OR DID I CHICKEN OUT LIKE A LITTLE GIRL, SOOKING ALL THE WAY BACK TO ORIELLY'S ??? All will be revealed soon
