A little self-reflection on a Sunday coming at ya. I’ve done a lot over this year. I’ve hit goal, taken on more responsibility at my job, starting to really find a great balance in my life-be it with food, my relationship with myself or my partnership with Adam-it’s really starting to take a shape I like the looks of. It’s exciting. All of that is wonderful and I could write a 9,000 page paper on it. But today, I’m focusing on something I didn’t list up there. My fitness. I’ve talked at length of my lack of a fitness routine this year, so I won’t repeat myself. The ultimate goal I had when I joined Orangetheory back in March was ‘give it a month, see where it goes.’ 6 months, and almost 100 classes later, I wrapped up my first DriTri. Over the last month, I’ve completed two huge races that I will cherish forever. I’ve pushed myself more times than I can count and accomplished things I didn’t think possible. This DriTri signifies more to me then just completing it. It signifies a routine I longed for for so long, an outlet to shake out the stressors of the day and get my head right, and most importantly - I can do what I set my mind to. Even yesterday I doubted whether or not I could get done in under an hour. It was my secret wish to get done in 58 minutes, but I went to bed going “naw, no way.” But in that last tenth of a mile, fighting the urge to vomit (it came real close, friends), I remembered where I was when I took my first class. Barely hanging on to a 4.0 MPH on the treadmill and I was finishing at a 7.0. I couldn’t have even fathomed getting 2,000 meters on the rower in under 10 minutes. I pushed harder and crossed that finish line. So, all this to say. Don’t doubt yourself. You can do it. You’re stronger than you think and your body will take you places you never though possible. 57:10. In 6 months, that’ll be 50 minutes or below, I guarantee it. __________________________

Chuffed with this one. Lasagne is a firm favourite of mine and the thought of a bechamel sauce-less version made me want to cry a little. But this lactose free, gluten free, vegetarian lasagne was honestly more than I could’ve ever hoped and dreamed. I decided to use quorn mince instead of beef because the hashtag environment and my family didn’t even notice. And honestly, this sauce is easier to make the normal bechamel sauce cos all you gotta do is whack it in a blender. Absolute winner. INGREDIENTS For the white sauce: - 250g cashew nuts - 1 clove garlic - 4 tbsp nutritional yeast (got this off Amazon Prime) - 2 tbsp olive oil - 1 tbsp water - 175m almond milk (or any nut milk) - 30g @arla.uk lactose free mature cheddar (optional if vegan) -2 tbsp lactose free cream cheese (optional if vegan) - 1/4 tsp nutmeg - Salt & pepper • For the mince: - 1 onion - 2 peppers (I used one red one yellow) - 8 chestnut mushrooms - 2 cloves garlic - 350g fresh quorn mince (ngl I was looking for frozen but it was out of stock) - 2x 400g tins chopped tomatoes 400g tin green lentils, drained - 1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce - 1 tbsp ketchup - 1 tsp mixed herbs - 1 tsp oregano - Few gluggs Worcester sauce - Few drops Tabasco (optional) - Salt & pepper - 3 Small handfuls spinach - 250g (1 pack) gluten free lasagne sheets • METHOD: 1. Preheat your oven to 170 degrees. Soak your cashew nuts in warm water for 15 mins and put to one side. 2. Meanwhile, dice your onion, peppers, mushrooms and garlic, fry on a medium heat until soften (about 4-5 mins). 3. Add in your mince and the rest of the ingredients except the spinach (and lasagne sheets, obvs). Allow to simmer away for 10 mins, taste it and add any extra flavours you’d like. 4. While the tomato sauce cooks make the white sauce. Pop all the ingredients in a blender (@nutribulletuk works perfectly) and blitz until smooth. 5. Time to layer it up. Spread an even layer of mince, followed by spinach, then the pasta and topped with the white sauce. I went for three layers, finishing with a hefty layer of white sauce on top, which I then topped with more lactose free cheese and a bit o black pepper. Pop it in the over for 40 mins and enjoy.

All these people and barking dogs and strange smelling toys didn’t appeal to you. The corner under the chair was safe so that’s where you stayed. . 🐾 That is until I finished my latte and set the cup aside while I talked to the shelter employee. Being as food motivated as you are, you couldn’t pass it up. You came over and acknowledged me, picked up my Starbucks cup, and brought it back to your corner. We all watched in silence as you began to play with the cup! Batting it around on the floor to get the lid to pop off so you could access the milky treat inside. . 🐾 The shelter employee marked you as adoptable and the two of us became a family. . 🐾 Our story only began there. Because of you, I met @jomorising a few days later, and our family grew to three! . 🐾 My Sweet Boy, Buddy, Bubba, Mr. Sweet Face, Whiskey-Boy, Snuggle Muffin Monster. Por qué estoy aquí, qué hace que me levante cada día y de él 100% . 🔹Sé que estoy trabajando y preparándome para poder hacer lo que quiero y lo que siempre me ha gustado (lo sé, no he elegido el camino fácil 🤷🏻‍♀️) . 🔹Sé que un día más es un día menos. Es decir, que cada vez estoy más cerca de estar donde quiero estar y con quien quiero estar. Sí, pensar en tener cerca a mi @ruferga87 es otra de las cosas que me hace levantarme cada día. . 🔹Sé que sin esfuerzo no hay recompensa. #sundayfunday started with an awesome #shoulder and #bicepsworkout! . Bicep curls are finally doable with 15lb dumbbells - as in, I can do 3 sets of 8 solid curls. Going to 12 gets me to failure. And my shoulder presses could potentially move up to 20lbs if I keep it up 💪🏻🌞 . #pregnancy has treated me well at 37 weeks! This baby might be chillin’ for the next couple weeks but at least he’s giving me energetic workout vibes 🤷🏼‍♀️✨🌸

PROTEIN FIG SCONES 🥧 - By popular demand... High in protein (10g) and fibre (11g), low in carbs (19g) and fat (5g). Win win 🙌 🍴Ingredients: 1 @lodough.co wrap 1 medium sized fig 1 egg 15g fat free yogurt (I used @yeovalley) - 👩‍🍳Method: Preheat oven to 180* Blitz the lodough and fig into a crumb, mix with egg and yogurt. #fail we took a picture of my #PR #Deadlift with #200kg (at rpe 9.5) ( #hookgrip ) It went more less as "smooth" as the 195kg in the video but with the tiny flu I have I did still not feel well enough to go all out. Anyways I'm more as happy with my new Toal of 490kg(B:120 D:200 S:170) after only 1year and 4 months in which I increased my bodyweight from around 80kg to today 96kg !!! ... Hey y’all! 👋🏼 Swipe If you wanna see my before and after workout looks 😂. . I’m still alive and kickin’. Basically law school consumes my life now so I’m just trying to find a healthy balance of everything 😌 . . Today I had such a good workout - I did boooooty and shouldaaas! It was a weird combo but it was so much fun! 🎉 . . . So - I’ve been cleaning up my diet a little bit the last few weeks. Trying to eat less processed shiz and eat more whole stuff. My diet isn’t awful but I could definitely stand to eat more veggies! I also have added 1-2 HIIT cardio sessions per week. Between both of these changes I have already noticed a difference in not only my body but my overall feels - energy, sleep, etc. 🤷🏻‍♀️ My point in sharing this with all of you is that you don’t have to over complicate things. Look at what you’re doing - or not doing - and see what small changes you can make. Evaluate yourself after a few weeks - see how you FEEL (not just how you do or don’t look). Adjust from there. Nothing coo-coo crazy y’all. Simple is BEST! . . . Check ins! ✅✅ this is an all around new experience to me. I competed over 5 years ago in a different class so I’m not completely sure of my package or posing but I trust my coach and that’s most important 🧙🏽‍♂️ I also have worked hard, gave it my all ☺️ I’m not perfect but I’ve had a near perfect prep, my macros were damn near on point every week. I hit my cardio, pushed through my lifts 💪🏼 I checked in on time and adjusted accordingly. I’ve woken up at 0400 and spend weekends at 8pm in the gym. I saw the scale drop, and rise and drop and rise 🔃 I’ve lost my mind and regained it, I’ve vented to my coach and he’s reassured me. I’ve had great days and had mentally exhausting days. I’ve cried, I sweated, I’ve resisted urges, I’ve broken down mental barriers. I HAVE GROWN! 👊🏼💥 At this point, I’m proud of what I am bringing because of what it took to get here and how much more mentally sound I am this go around. Even if I don’t come home with a win, I still won 🏆 And I have 2 other shows lined up to adjust and keep pushing forward. @teamctn saw me from the beginning 5+ years ago, and through my entire fitness journey, I wouldn’t trust ANYONE else to get me ready 👌🏼 this takes patience, dedication, honestly and mental toughness. 6 wakes and it’s show time, I’ll step on stage knowing I did my best up to this point BUT my best is truly yet to be seen 👙💕 #staytuned

There are just s few things you have to keep in mind when approaching your workout!

Pre-Workout: First make sure you consume protein 1-2h before your workout, so that you have it in your system which makes sure your muscles are „protected“.
-
Carbs are important too, since they deliver energy and boost your performance in the gym! So go ahead and grab a simple carb source like fruit/dried fruit and go get jacked.💪🏻
-
Post-Workout: there is no real „anabolic window“ in which you have to get your post workout protein in, but minimum 1-2h after your workout you gotta go munching.

Again, carbs & protein are your friend here, but if there is a fat source involved as well, the magic nutrition fairy won‘t punish you either. 😉

Thats why smoothies are so amazing! Made in 5-10 min. and contain everything you need to grow plant-powered muscle. 🌿

The smile you make when you pass your Level 2 Fitness Instructor Exam and Pratical with flying colours. 💁‍♀️💪🤗 I started the course a nervous wreck. Terrified of failing, mumbling my sentences and just feeling absolutely rubbish. I spent all week stressing and worrying about absolutely nothing. I'm a teacher, I dance around a classroom and act like a loon on a daily basis, so I put my teacher cap on today and tried my hardest. But it's important to remember that PT is not just plucking some exercises out of thin air and training someone. There is so much theory behind it and it's been a busy week revising. There is still so much to learn and I'm so ready to dive head first into Level 3 and beyond. Your girl is down 7lbs(3.5kg approx) since July and I think I'm starting to see it a little bit in clothes. I like to always add a handful of spinach in my smoothies ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 🥦 Grate them into food ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Carrots and zucchini are my fav. Add them to anything! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣🥦 Make them into pasta ⁣ ⁣ Sub noodles for Zucchini noodles!
