Northern Hawk Owl, Canada, 2017.
A couple personal things about me...
Firstly, this is my most favorite owl, as I’ve mentioned in the past. I’m not sure if it’s their “life in the fast lane” personality that draws me to them, but they are such an interesting and human tolerant bird of prey allowing great photo opportunity.
Secondly, for those that don’t know me in person, my main job is as an audio engineer at a Broadway theater. This week, we loaded in a little show called Hamilton. Not sure if any of you have heard of it? 😉
I didn’t have much time to watch the first show, last night, but what little I heard and saw, I feel there is much validity to all the hype.
I mention this because I will most likely be living at work over the next 3 weeks and pretty unable to post up anything new or get out to photograph anything until next year.
I am thinking about a trip to MN in Jan. to possibly get a chance to photograph another one of these Northern Hawk owls. I just adore them, but they are not easy to get a track on, especially now that eBird hides their reported locations.
