On the Seventeenth day of Christmas my beer box gave to me... a Freak Magnet! Not that i need one with the amount of freaks that i actually know, luckily this wasn’t the human attracting kind if magnet!
So, this is Freak Magnet, a DIPA (Double IPA for the newbies) from @ which weighs in at 8.5% on the Blotto scale. Wylam, are the Mr Consistant of the beer world, they are like your mate who never lets you down, with the bonus of making great beers along the way. The pour on this was a orange murk, with a tropical orange, melon and papaya on the nose. In your gob the mouthfeel in spot on as usual, with the taste being almost over zesty orange rind, mango and a slight dankness to it. There is a very long lasting bitterness to the finish on this one, and it has a boozy feel to it, it warms the cockles! Not the usual 8% + booze cover up, but another top beer from the Geordies anyway!
