I’m starting a nutritional new year experiment 🙈🍒 I’ve been inspired by @earthyandy story of change after one month of going vegan. However atm I’m 80% plant based and already needing to take vitamin B supplements and nervous about how the change will affect my training,everyday life and also the health of my body. So I’ve decided to do a New Years experiment..... I’m going to get all my bloods taken in the new year @osanafamilywellness and eat quality sourced meat once a day and see what happens physically, emotionally and biochemically. Then for the second month I’ll go vegan and see what changes. 👨‍⚕️ 🥑🥥🥦🍍🥬🍋✨ I’m really excited to take this on and share my journey as I hope I can help others with this battle. I want to be 100% plant based. 🌍 Even if the idea of being gluten free AND vegan gives me severe social anxiety 😬 Has anyone else had any similar experiences? Or tested out what truly works the best for their body? Would love to know 🙏🏻

Happy Wednesday lovelies! I finished university for the holidays after my exam yesterday morning 🎉 been busy packing and stuff, and yesterday we went to my friend's belated bday dinner + Xmas night out! • This is the basil stir fry from @barsobaedinburgh which was super flavourful with chilli and garlic 👅 They initially said that their tofu wasn't vegan (?!?!) so I asked for more veg instead. Then the food was brought out with tofu anyway, and when I asked about it the waitress went back to the kitchen, then came back with the same plate and said that the chef said that the tofu was in fact vegan now...? A bit suspicious but I genuinely am confused as to how and why one would make non-vegan tofu in the first place, so was inclined to believe her. • The menu is great in terms of what food's on offer, and with a student card it's 50% off food and 25% off drinks during the week! COCONUT milk icing on banana bread yummmmmmmmmmmmmy💗💖💗 @regrann @sophieshealthykitchen 🍌🍌🍌Banana bread is so much better when it’s topped with icing right!?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🙌🏻 I feel you just can’t beat a good banana bread and you know I love my sweet stuff so I’ve topped it with some coconut icing too! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 😋You won’t regret making this one! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👩🏻‍🍳INGREDIENTS ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - 1 cup of spelt flour (or whole meal) - 1/2 cup of oat flour - 1/3 of a cup of brown sugar - 1 tsp of baking powder - 2 medium mashed bananas (preferably ripe) - 2 eggs - or 2 flaxseed eggs - 3/4 cup of plant milk - 1/4 cup honey - 2 tsp of vanilla extract - 1 tsp of cinnamon ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥄ICING - 1 x 400ml tin coconut milk - 2 tbsp icing sugar - ½ tsp vanilla extract ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⭐️METHOD - Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius and grease a 1lb loaf tin with coconut oil. In a bowl, combine all wet ingredients. Then add the flours, sugar and baking powder.  Pour the mixture into your prepared tin and bake for 40 minutes (until knife comes out clean). Whilst the bread is baking you can prepare your icing. (See method for icing) Once the bread is baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before removing from the tin. Allow the bread to cool completely before icing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⭐️METHOD FOR ICING Shake the tin of coconut milk and chill it in the fridge overnight. Spoon out the coconut cream, leaving the liquid in the tin. Keep the liquid as you may need to use some to loosen the cream. Briefly whisk the coconut milk with the icing sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Spread on top of the banana bread (once cooled) and finish off with chopped hazelnuts. (optional). Nutrition doesn't have to be all or nothing...⠀ .⠀ I'm a big fan of intuitive eating as a long term nutritional approach. However, I realize it may not be for all people at all times. For example, if you want to get on stage as a bodybuilder or bikini athlete, tracking will likely be necessary. 🧐⠀ .⠀ What I tend to find is that people are using approaches that are too restrictive for their goals. If you have a general goal of getting stronger or building muscle, you don't have to track everything that you eat everyday strictly. It might be helpful to track certain things for a short period of time, such as calorie or protein intake, but ideally I think we should all be able to eat without the use of a calorie tracking app. 🤓⠀ .⠀ If you are wanting to transition to a more intuitive approach, you don't have to jump straight into it. You can move your way along this nutritional spectrum and stay in each phase for as long as you want. There's no finish line. The way we eat is constantly shifting, as our goals, lifestyle and bodies change over time. 😊⠀ .⠀ Where are you on this nutritional spectrum?

COCO PORRIDGE 🥥🍓 Buenísimos días corazones ❣️❣️❣️ Aquí os dejo un super desayuno saludable ⤵️ Ingredientes 🛒: • Leche de coco 0 azúc.añad. • Copos de avena @herbolarionavarro . • Claras de huevo. • Coco rallado. • Fresas. . Proceso 👩🏼‍🍳: • Vertemos la leche de coco y las claras de huevo en una olla y llevamos dicha mezcla al punto de ebullición 🔥. • Introducimos nuestra mida de copos de avena y removemos hasta conseguir la textura que nos gusta . • Vertemos la mezcla en un bol y le añadimos los toppings. En mi casi mucho coco rallado 🙈 y fresitas laminadas. • Listo! Ya tenemos nuestro desayuno 🔝 para empezar este miércoles a tope de energía ♥️✨ . Vamos a exprimir el día 💥 FELIZ MIÉRCOLES ❣️❣️❣️

#transformationTuesday ONE WHOLE YEAR! I snapped the pic on the left last December (12th) in Germany! I was a little over 3 months post show after #NorthAmericans and think I only gained like 8-10lbs [125-127 lbs] from my low weight competing (which I clearly needed 😆) After my competition I immediately took a balanced approach and by that I don’t mean counting macros I legit went intuitive . I ate a shit ton of fats, kept my protein high and ate all the carbs. I kept a pretty clean diet and drank alcohol a few times a week ( because hello Europe ) and also ate chocolate... often 😂 I was suuuper happy with maintaining my weight while training hard and also enjoying myself more than I had in years due to competing on and off. I traveled all around Europe. I snowboarded, I hiked, I walked A LOT because I was constantly exploring so it was fairly easy to keep weight off. Now on the right an entire year later after a dozen countries full of memories, then the remaining of this year back home enjoying life with the hubby and training to become a Pilot in Command... and still training in the gym of course, I’m about 137-140 lbs . That’s a 10-12 lb weight gain in a year. It’s funny though... I hardly notice the difference in pics 😂😂 of course my clothes fit tighter and my abs aren’t defined anymore but I finally have weight in my lower body and I feel like I actually gained shape. I’ve gained well over 20 lbs from my stage weight but I have zero reservations about it because 1. I’m healthy AF and feel great 2. I’m still “lean” 3. I’m happy AF ☺️🌮🏋🏻‍♀️ I never thought I’d actually appreciate how I looked at this weight because I never took a long period of time like this to gain it. О ПСИХИКЕ. По словам медиков, физические проявления стресса – лишь начало всех бед с организмом. Прежде всего, под влиянием стресса у человека появляются проблемы со сном. Это могут быть проблемы с засыпанием или бессонница, когда проснувшись среди ночи, человек не может сомкнуть глаз до утра.Чуть позже к бессоннице добавляются другие, более тяжелые состояния. Earlier today I asked on my stories what dietary guidelines you follow. I never expected I would get SO many responses and such thoughtful reasons behind them. Many of you are following low carb and keto diets, lots of you would call yourselves paleo or paleo-ish, some of you avoid nuts or dairy due to allergies and I even have a few vegan followers! If you haven’t weighed in yet, feel free to respond on my story. The reason I asked this today is because my eating habits have been a little erratic lately. I thought I was eating intuitively and finding food freedom, but unfortunately I was ignoring the fact that eating whatever I want negatively effects my autoimmune diseases. In 2019 I want to drill down on a style of eating that makes me feel my best. I am thinking that is some combo of paleo/low carb/whole 30 deal, but that’s just my thoughts. Overnight oats --- I am heading to an 8am boxing class today 🥊 Super exciting! I always need to eat something before a workout, I can push myself much harder if I do. Today I’m having a little bit of overnight oats I prepped last evening with a banana and some peanut butter! What are you really trying to change by changing your body?🤔 For many people, the urge to change ones body pops up whenever life is feeling overwhelming, stressful, or just plain difficult. It can feel simple to blame your problems on your body and to pour a bunch of energy into changing it. So next time you are feeling the need to dive head first into another diet, I encourage you to pause, take a deep breath, and ask yourself what it is that you really need? . . No lies—today was a hellish day from the moment I woke up and no matter how hard I tried I could not turn it around. It was just one thing after another, ruuude people, etc etc. But I survived and tomorrow is a new day - whew! That said...my food didn’t disappoint. And I’m currently so oblessed with @binniescoconutbutter and @jojoschocolatebark .... I can’t believe I haven’t allowed myself to enjoy these kind of foods and these brands at that for the past 13 years of my life that’s been controlled and hovered over by my ED. Thank the heavens for recovery and for facing my fears to overcome them and enjoy these foods guilt free on the daily now! Oh. And this @thunderbirdbar bar may be a new top 10 for me. First time trying it and omg—like a brownie melted in my mouth with tons of flavor profiles! And I’m still challenging myself each day but I’ll recap all that at the end of the week all at once probably!

I used to think that if I didn’t have a “perfect” body I wasn’t worthy of really anything. I felt like I was a failure cause my body wasn’t identical to the Victoria secret models or even other girls at school who I thought just had it easier than I. Sure I was proud of my successes like in academics and sports... but when it came down to it, if my body didn’t fit the “ideal” image that society shoved into my brain I wasn’t happy. So all my other successes, all the other people and wonderful things in my life weren’t enjoyed. I thought that I didn’t deserve to enjoy those things and that I would be happy and able to enjoy them once I got the body that I wanted. Sounds selfish right? That’s how I got into fitness, to change my body. I’m so happy to say that that has changed and I love working out for the feeling it gives me and for keeping healthy. But it took me a lot of internal struggling to get here. Im still insecure about my body and i still get thoughts in my head about “not being enough” because I don’t have the PERFECT body. But I’m learning and understanding that if I feel good and I’m healthy than that’s MUCH MORE rewarding than fitting into a size 0. I still love fitness, I am still proud of where my body is, but it is not the center of my existence. I am learning to be happy at any stage my body is at and it’s so freeing. #FDietCulture
