HOW SKINNY GUYS CAN BUILD MUSCLE by @jmaxfitness - If you're a skinny guy, you need a different approach to build muscle than the "average" guy. Your metabolism is faster than a Delorean going back to 1985. The more you eat, the more your metabolism speeds up, but it's a race you can win. Here's how: - Eat 3 solid food meals per day. Take a dinner plate and fill 1/4 of the plate with protein (meat, fish, eggs, etc), 1/4 of the plate with starchy carbs (potatoes, rice etc), and half the plate with vegetables. - Between meals, drink 3 supershakes per day containing 1 scoop of whey isolate, nuts, spinach, water, and a frozen banana. - Lift weights 3x per week using a full body workout. I’ve dropped my calories a little as of late to allow for any extra festivities that may come over the Christmas period, nothing crazy, still eating more than enough on my 5 training days to fuel my sessions, and cutting carbs a lot on my two rest days. Performance is yet to take a hit so I’ll roll with it for the time being 😎 I always feel better in my physique when carbs are a little lower, funnily enough as I get a little less bloated I feel and look bigger. It’s not as if it matters, but it’s nice to know I’m not just a fast fuck, 750+g of carbs and 4+ liters of water a day can do things to a body 😂 (Camera angles also help a lot 🤫) - Training is still going very well. I’m being more patient and less ignorant than ever before. I’m not being a stubborn dickhead and upping weights when unnecessary. I had to take a step back on bench yesterday due to sleeping funnily and I’m cool with it. I’m back to normal today and will have a better session tomorrow because of it. I’m training smarter 😎 - I just generally have my passion back, in all aspects of life. #TreatYoselfTuesday - Maximuscle Chocolate & Coconut Protein Slices - Prep: 5 mins Cook: 20-30 mins Serves: 6 - INGREDIENTS: ▪️150g Unsweetened Desiccated coconut ▪️50g Coconut Flour ▪️1 serving Promax Vanilla ▪️50g Melted Coconut Oil ▪️50ml Coconut Milk ▪️100g Dark Chocolate ▪️50g White Chocolate - METHOD: ▪️In a large bowl mix the desiccated coconut, coconut flour and Promax vanilla together ▪️Then add the melted coconut oil and coconut milk. Transformation Tuesday! Haven't had transformation post in awhile. To be honest I can't even remember that I ever looked like in photo on the left! But it's only 3 years ago. 3 years isn't such a long time, but so much has changed! I have changed visually and mentally. I have found myself, I have found inner happiness and I think it's visible on the outside too. Every day I'm still working on myself to become stronger mentally, fitter and stronger physically and just to be better person. It's not easy and a lot of sacrifices had been made, but the only regret I have is that I didn't start this journey sooner! So much have changed and its only beginning!

DON'T COUNT THE REPS, MAKE THE REPS COUNT 👌 * When it comes to your training programme you can have two outlooks. You can see the required reps in your log book, hit them, and move on, OR you can push it that bit further, and give those reps the attention they deserve 👊💥 * You can move the weight from A-B, counting down the numbers in your head until you reach zero. However this doesn't really serve the same value, as locking in and engaging all focus to your reps 🤷🏻‍♂️ * If you approach a set with full focus, you will be able to get the most from it. When I really want to prime into a set, I have my eyes shut and I'm engaging everything to execute the movement, as best as I can. By doing this, I will always have a better workout, than if I was looking around me, doing the reps, but thinking about other things 🙃 * Don't let your mind wander when you are training. There's plenty of time in the day for that to happen. *HOW TO BENCH* by @skiman.factual.fitness ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I made a video of this type of correction but I believe the message got missed on what was the correction and that the elbows being in different positions can cause strain on the shoulders, wrists, etc. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There is a lot going wrong on first couple visual representations and its actually one of most common mistakes that I see when individuals are performing the exercise.  On the first two examples we can see that the rep is executed with the elbows flared outwards and inwards, this puts a lot of unnecessary strain on the wrists and elbows.  Its is definitely not the safest nor the strongest position to be in while bench pressing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On the last example we have the joints stacked, the arms are perpendicular with the bar and we are executing the rep in a safe and powerful position. Leftover beef curry, rice and green beans for lunch today 🍽 Finding it near impossible to be on plan the last two weeks but I’m trying to keep my meals SW friendly and having my treats 🙄 Absolutely no self control when them boxes of chocolates come out and I feel so guilty. Got out of the house today and walked around town for a few hours. I find it very, very hard not to let my mood plummet in the winter but the lack of daylight messes with my mental health. Gonna get my walking shoes and headphones on this evening and go for a long walk when T is home 🙌🏻 it will do me the world of good! I’ve started journaling again, just to get my head in the right place before I get bad again. Bad mental health is a constant god damn battle for me 😫 I’m a million times better than I was a couple of years ago but I still have my moments! It’s so important to be aware when you’re getting bad though and talk to someone. I was able to talk to T last night and he was so understanding and kind and he has said he’ll come for walks with me whenever I need it. Just gotta keep going! I hope you’re all having a lovely day 💞

Team Ryano was the first MMA gym I ever stepped foot in and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. Everything I know from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling and overall technique’s for MMA I learned under Coach Andy Ryan. Most importantly, I learned how to be disciplined! They’re one of the top gyms in Europe for a reason and that’s obvious from their success and hard work from the amateur level to the UFC. I never miss any BAMMA, Cage Warriors or Bellator show that any of the Team Ryano boys are fighting on and never will miss one. Always a supporter of everyone there! I’m forever grateful for Andy Ryan. He’s an OG of MMA in Ireland and I’m extremely lucky to have learned from him on the mats and off the mats! They introduced to the sport and I’ve loved the sport ever since! @teamryano 🦏🇮🇪
