. It took all my energy to get changed and go to the gym after work. I was in such a mood because I wanted to stay home in my pj’s beside the fire but I knew training would change my mood ☺️ So I did it 🙌🏻 . I drove to the gym and it was closed.. CLOSED 😂 . But instead of going home I just went to another gym. I’m not comfortable in this gym and I never been and I don’t particularly like the equipment or vibe either. I did what I had to do and got the hell outta there 🙋🏼‍♀️ . I made the effort though 👏🏻 . Some days aren’t always going to go to plan but we adapt and learn 🙌🏻 . I have been doing this for the last 6 years and it hasn’t failed to disappoint yet. . The workout is simple and effective, and by effective I basically mean that it is a bit horrible. . As it is Christmas, the workout has a Christmassy theme. . If you know the 12 days of Christmas, (and let’s face it, who doesn’t?), that is the inspiration for the workout. . So take a minute and have a little sing song to yourself. Get that catchy tune into your head. Maybe get Sandra from the office to join in and help you. Can Sandra sing? . Oh, well maybe not then. . The best part of this workout is that you don’t need much space, or any equipment, but if you have access to some and want to make it harder, you can add some in. . Want to give it a try? . Full day of vegetarian eating ... from a non-vegetarian Before I go into the details I do just want to let you all know... a vegetarian diet is not a healthier diet. This is such a common myth. When you hear a myth like this is generally comes from something, so let's disect this a bit... Vegetarian = Eats a lot of veg = Veg is healthy = better. Okay, so far so good, but wait... what if a person who ate meat ALSO ate the same amount of vegetables as a vegetarian? The research shows.... they're just as healthy, if not more healthy due to an increased food variety, protein & nutrient availability 🤯 wow If you are vegetarian for ethical reasons, environmental sustainability reason, etc, that's all good and I support you. If you are vegetarian because you think it is healthier, you want to lose weight and think it will help, or you think it puts you on a pedestal above omnivores - these are the wrong reasons and the research is not in support. Why did I do a full day of vegetarian eating? Cause I have a lot of awesome vegetarian followers who asked! Many of you also struggle to eat enough protein so I wanted to show you some nice ways to increase your protein intake Breakfast Half a tub of 0% fat greek yoghurt, berries, cashew butter, and a fiber one bar Lunch Spinach Roast potatoes 2 @lindamccartneyfoods vegetarian sausages ( I prefer these to regular sausages. Seriously, they're amazing) Snack @hejnaturals protein bar. I was speaking about positive affirmations on my story just now and how powerful they can be, then I came across this! “I eat well, I live well” is an excellent example of a positive affirmation that is both empowering yet unrestrictive. This could be a great affirmation for you to write down each day if you’ve been repeatedly making choices around nutrition that you know are not serving you well. . Actually, every part of this quote really speaks to me, especially the line: “The power is in the choices I make each day”. Every time we eat we have a choice whether to choose nutrient dense whole foods or less nutrient dense foods. Being healthy is a lifestyle choice and it’s important to remember that. . However, I have struggled with binge eating and I know sometimes that impulsive and emotional eating does not feel like a choice. It feels like a powerful force that can’t be tamed. 3 Exercises That Will Help You Master The Pull Up 1. Eccentric pull ups • 3 AMRAP sets (3 sets of as many reps as possible) • jump up to the top of the pull up and lower yourself down as slowly as you can • if jumping off a low box is too challenging, jump off a bench/higher box instead (higher starting position will make the jump easier and save energy) • aim to increase the amount you can do and the amount of time you spend lowering yourself 2. Banded pull ups • 3 AMRAP sets • start with a thick band and when they become easy, move to a thinner band 3. Lat pulldown • 4 sets of 3-5 reps (make sure it’s a challenging weight) • pull the bar towards your chest • aim to increase the weight you are pulling on approx a weekly basis - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - This combination will help you build up the strength required to do a pull up whilst also helping your body get used to the actual movement itself! My advice would be to include two of these exercises in your workout sessions at least twice per week! I would always include and start with the lat pulldown and then rotate between the banded pull up and the eccentric pull up. So for example... First session of the week: 1. Lat pulldown 2. Banded pull ups Second session of the week: 1. Lat pulldown 2. Some clips from a fun functional workout last week💪🏼 Loving workouts like these lately, a challenge for the whole body and the brain to keep balance and correct form! . 1️⃣ KB snatch to kneel 8 each side - keep the arm dead straight in the air when kneeling . 2️⃣ KB windmills (?) idk if that’s a real name lol 8 each side - again arm is dead straight up and not rocking side to side . 3️⃣ KB unilateral side lunges 8 each side - the lunging leg bares all the weight, other leg does no work

Bit of a glo up transformation lol look how skinny my little arms are in the left pic!!!🤢 One pic isn’t better than the other, I wasn’t unhealthy or anything in the left just different kind of training, personally I prefer the recent pic of myself but I’m happy in both🤷‍♀️ Not all fitness journeys have to be negative! Sometimes people just grow in and out of the things the enjoy☺️
