Number 14 in an on going series. No plan just as I find them or play them. Mail order version of a club edition of an album with a different sleeve.
World Record Club WRC was a mail order company based in Surrey during 1950s and 1960s. Taken over by EMI in mid 60s. If like me you have been scouring charity shops and car boot sales since the 80s then youve seen thousands of WRC records. Issued with different covers to the original label version which causes endless problems as I have picked up many jazz lps on WRC to discover I already have them on Verve or HMV with a different sleeve. Some sleeves are wonderfully cheesy. Have loads of Lps from this label.
A few LP centre designs, Blue Note, Capitol, Charisma, ECM, Harvest, Island, Pablo, Parlophone, Transatlantic, Trojan, Verve, Vertigo, Virgin, World Record Club are graphically interesting on their own.
Haven't quite reached the point where I'm collecting labels or label graphics, yet. #recordlabel #recordlabelart #recordlabels #mhrecordlabel #worldrecordclub #wrc #charityshopfinds #charityshopvinyl #nowspinning #whatsspinning #carbooty #carbootfinds #carboorvinyl #charityshopfinds #charityshopvinyl #mhigginsvinyl #johncoltrane
