It’s 8 p.m. on Sunday night and I hear “knock knock”! “Who’s there?”, I said. “It’s Marvin and I have pretzels and hooch, open the dang door, we are partying!”… “Oh heck no!”, I say to myself, remembering the carb bender from last week that made me suffer for two ELFing days.
We went back and forth for a while and finally agree that if he leaves that stuff in his sled, I’ll let him in.
Long story short, Marvin somewhat behaved himself. I made him my famous “Cado Cane Chocolate Martini”. I can’t tell you the story Marvin told me -- two drinks in, but man was it funny! We laughed and laughed and laughed some more…. That Marvin is something else!
This should come in under 3g of carbs per drink.
Recipe Credit: Modified version of Blue Spirits Chocolate Martini
2.5 oz of Blue Spirits espresso vodka
4 dashes of Scrappy's chocolate bitters .75 oz - Half and half
Lily's limited edition candy cane chocolate (grated for topping)
Candy cane whipped cream (regular is fine as well)
Shake all of the ingredients in a shaker with ice, except for the whipped cream & chocolate shavings, strain into a martini glass. Add a layer of whipped cream and sprinkle on top with chocolate.
