Some of you have been through A LOT. I want to take a moment to acknowledge you, male or female, different types of abuse, disadvantages, loss, pressures and mental health issues.
I want you to know one VERY important thing. Your story matters SO much. Your truth, your honesty, your vulnerability, and your boundaries, they are the growth that allow other people to know that they can get through it too. Do you remember when you were so little and bad things happened to you, or life shifted and drastically changed you and your course? You know that there is a young child / teenager on this platform or a peer also going through, a loss, addiction, abuse, or mental health problem and they need to know that they are NOT alone.
Don’t pipe down, pipe all the way up. Because pain and death grow in isolation. Even if you’re a social butterfly, maybe the entire truth of your real struggle is isolated, and we hide it, because we believe that there is something so unloveable about our struggles and our wounds. Dear beautiful ones, use your voice, your experience, your growth, your acceptance, your love and take yourself from student to teacher, because we need more teachers, we need more truth in a world where most of our information causes more pain, comparison, and numbing, we NEED content that reminds us that we aren’t alone in our eating disorders, our ridiculous societal pressures regarding money and jobs, and appearance. MORE people who say i was abused, i was mistreated, this is wrong, and as a result i have symptoms of depression, anxiety, dissociation... and maybe some even braver folks who cop to it and say “yeah dudes, hurt people, HURT PEOPLE, and here’s what happened and here is how i grew. “
WILL YOU BE BRAVE AND SAY THE THING THAT MIGHT HELP SOMEONE ELSE?? I ENCOURAGE YOU TO PLEASE WRITE A LITTLE HERE AND THEN KEEP FREAKING WRITING / SHARING PUBLICLY.
Example: “i deal with anxiety every single day, especially in the morning. I fight feelings of not being enough and also “too much” at the same dang time.” 📷 @jasoncharleshill #368 #intrepid @dannmace #yourstory #herstory #metoo #abuse #survivor
