The Celtics start off the second half of the season on the right foot with a 110-98 win over the Pistons. The Celtics came out looking rested from the All-Star break shooting over 52% from 3 in the 1st half. Marcus Smart had a positive impact in his return, and Theis was nearly perfect from the field. Blake Griffin did play atrociously, but I don’t think it would have mattered if he played well. It was nice to see that they put some terrible games from before the All-Star behind them. Hopefully they can build off this win and start looking more like the Celtics that went on the 16-game winning streak. It was also nice to see them do well against the two star-bigs combo, which the Celtics have struggled against. I was hoping Jaylen Brown would have a better game, but hopefully he can ball up against the Knicks tomorrow.
