Being is Good for your Soul
Stop! Quick... do something silly!
Go ahead, do something completely ridiculous!
Stick your tongue out and blow a raspberry.
Honk your horn inside a tunnel.
Giggle insanely like the Mad Hatter.
Do a cartwheel 🤸♀️ (if you can safely do so.) Blow bubbles in whatever you’re drinking.
with your food.
Watch something that makes you belly .
Why am I telling you to do this?
Because playing, being silly, and laughing are GOOD for you!
Children know this inherently.
They play morning, noon and night.
They imagine. They pretend. They giggle.
They get it!
They know how enjoyable it is to be silly.
It feels so good!
When you’re silly, you release stress and tension.
Your body fills you with and endorphins like dopamine and serotonin.
Who cares if you get some eye rolls or weird looks.
You’re having fun!
And likely, you could use a lot more fun in your life.
So goof off.
Build a snowman.
Skip down the sidewalk.
Do something that reminds you of being a kid.
Make a point to do at least a little bit of goofiness every single day.
