January 2017 to January 2018. I've been doing a lot of reflecting after our getaway to Toronto this weekend. We do this trip every year and as funny as this sounds to say outloud, I felt like I was experiencing my new body for the first time because I remember exactly what it felt like last year...And this year was so different.
The airplane was roomy, I could buckle up with inches left, I could put the tray down, my knees weren't dug into the seat in front of me, my hips weren't touching my husband's and sweating the whole time, my hips didn't hit people when I walked down the aisle to use the bathroom (which was also roomy). Last year at the basketball game, I sat with my arms in my lap and didnt jump up when I wanted to cheer because it hurt to sit in the seats (I left with many bruises on my hips). .
We exercised, we relaxed, we put ourselves first. That to me is worth more than anything. If you told me last year that I would feel this way this year, I wouldn't have believed you. But look at where I am. .
Commit to what you are doing and watch yourself transform. Some days it doesn't seem like much is happening (especially since our brains are the last to catch up), but believe me, changes are happening! Take that chance on yourself 💕 #transformationtuesday
