YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT. . FOOD IS MEDICINE. . Raise your hand if you’ve ever heard these words uttered by health professionals. . And people that you respect. . 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️ . I know I did. . I took these words as the ULTIMATE truth. The ONLY truth. . If you’re a perfectionist like me, I took these words to the extreme. . Never consuming refined sugar. . Being militant about the oils used in the food I consumed. . NEVER consuming processed flours. . Because my mission was to be the picture perfection of health. . Because that way, everyone would trust me. And listen to what I had to say. . THAT way I would get respect. . But I felt like a fraud. . People DID respect me, they were absolutely impressed with my clean eating and “willpower”. . But secretly...secretly I was crushed when I always refused the cookies that someone at work would offer me. . Then I’d go home and binge on “healthy treats” because I felt deprived. . I’d sadly tell my family not to bake me a cake on my birthday, because I can’t eat those things. And if I started I wouldn’t be able to stop. . I would control all the food at Christmas so that it was “healthy” versions of everything and set a goal to “not gain a pound” over the holidays. . I felt like a fraud. . Because none of it felt easy, or natural. . I felt obsessed and crazy around food. . When I found Intuitive Eating, and simple ASKED myself “what do I WANT to eat?” My world changed. . I felt this huge weight lifted off my shoulders. . I did the work of giving myself full permission. . I did the work on my heart. . Intuitive Eating has not only healed my relationship with food, but opened up space in my life to LIVE in a way that I didn’t know was available to me. . And that’s what I want for you. . So if you’re feeling crazy and obsessed around food. And you’re terrified of eating anything but “clean” food... . I want you to know I feel you. I get you. I was there. . I also want to let you know that I can help you get to a place where you can be a normal eater. . Like the person who can leave a bowl of candy out and not eat it all in 24hrs! . Feeling fancy on my day off making a restaurant style brunch at home! Zucchini/squash and garlic herb scramble with broccoli tots and a premier protein coffee 😍 The goat cheese goes a long way for 1oz worth because of its dept of flavor. This whole plate and drinks brings me to 9SP.

You guys...SUPER excited to share this with y’all. This recipe is SO easy and so good! ................. Whole 30 Chilli Salmon 6x boneless salmon fillets 2 tsp toasted sesame oil 2 tbsp @cocofinacoconut aminos 1 tbsp @verylazyfooduk chopped garlic 1 tbsp @verylazyfooduk red chillies 1.5 tsp @verylazyfooduk ginger Juice of one lime . 1) Line a glass casserole dish with foil. 2) place the salmon fillets on the foil and cover evenly with all the ingredients. 3)using the foil and another piece of foil over the top, create a foil pouch around the salmon/marinade. 4) bake on 180C (360F) for 20-30 minutes until salmon is fully cooked. . #easyhealthymeals #healthyweeknightdinner #buildinghealthhandbook #fitnessgoals2019 #buildinghealth #whole30dinner #whole30ish #whole30lunch #lifeafterwhole30

Had a bottle of red wine that I’ve been itching to open, so I literally planned this dinner around that wine.🍷 That’s not weird...right? 😂 —— I’ve got @skinnytaste chicken parm cooked in my @simplelivingproducts air fryer. My ingredients came out to 2sp per serving!🙌🏻 Thank you @traderjoes lite mozz and @theskinnyishdish zero point marinara!😉 Served on top of @palmini_pasta linguine mixed with 2oz regular linguine. On GOOD Sundays we prep allllll the chicken & have a giant plate of @immaculatebites baked crispy chicken thighs & Lauren’s almond-crusted chicken tenders 💖 These chicken thighs are the REAL DEAL! They’re a favorite in our house because the spice blend is on point, CRISPY CHICKEN SKIN, & they reheat really well!! (Just stick ‘em in a skillet over medium heat for a couple mins & that skin’ll crisp right back up!) Happy Sunday, guys, & GO CHIEFS!! ❤️💛🏈💛❤️

One of the easiest and most satisfying paleo, @whole30 or gluten free dinners is chicken stew (IMO). You basically sauté up onion, celery and carrot in ghee then add your chicken, garlic, salt and pepper and broth (I made this bone broth yesterday in my @instantpotofficial) and let it simmer for an hour or so. I added the potatoes about 20 minutes before serving. Plus you add other ingredients as you see fit (spinach, kale, parsnips for example). •

Sunday: easy snacky lunchy idea! 👍🏻 I always keep this on hand so on days like today when my meal prep hasn’t happened yet, I have an easy meal I can whip up in minutes. It’s a great one to pack up and eat on the go as well! ➡️ ✔️canned salmon or tuna, ✔️canned chickpeas, ✔️clean mayo (I like @sirkensingtons or @primalkitchenfoods), ✔️rice cakes (or toast for non GF peeps), and ✔️spices! • Vegan Loaded Taco • Yesterday we celebrated a very special little someone’s birthday! We hosted family at our house after, and I thought it best to easily plan a taco bar! So today, I eat the leftovers! 🎉 . . . We loooooove faux cheesy potatoes around these parts 😋 I add whatever leftover cream cheese I have hanging out in a ziploc in the fridge (usually like an ounce or two leftover from a recipe) and a big dollop of sour cream into the glass dish I’ll be using and zing it in the microwave so that it’s all soft enough to combine. Then I add in seasonings, shredded cheese, sometimes bacon and green onions... stir it all up. I steam a bag of cauliflower, drain it, chop up the pieces into smaller pieces, add it to the cheese mixture, mix it all up, then top with cheddar. I bake at 375 until hot and bubbly and the cheese is melty!! 🙌🏻

Seafood linguini, a caesar salad and some delightful, perfectly crusty, soft on the inside dinner rolls!! Dinner last night was worth all the calories!! I also had a glass of Malbec to watch all this goodness down. My only regret was that I didn't send it back because it was only warm (not hot) but we were short on time to get to our event. I have been here before and I will return again someday I am sure!
