Keeping it real here today!! So, here’s what my plan was. After my Hawaii vacation and in the middle of the Holiday Season I knew I needed to do some sort of reset to get me back on track. To figure out a plan to get on track and stay on track. In the past I have done one complete #whole30 and several #whole10 & #whole14 ‘s with great success. (If you don’t know what #whole30 is then I suggest you go to their blog and read about it.) I honestly have a love/hate relationship with it. I love it because it works- helps with emotional eating, food intolerances/allergies, resetting your body, some weight loss, and SO many NSV. I hate it because it’s freaking hard, especially for this picky eater! But if I can do it, I know you can!
Anyhow... I had set out ONLY to do a 10 day or 14 day reset. I made it 11.5 days. I kind of hoped I’d make it 14 total days, and at one point I thought I could even do the whole 30 days! So I made it 11.5 days. I met my goal, I was on point EVERYday, and then for whatever reason I was done. And I took it way harder then I thought I would. I picked my drug of choice-DayOld Cheese pizza 🧀 🍕 , and three bites in I started crying! 😢 What!? Yes, crying!!! Because I went “off-plan” even though I had met my initial goal! So, I guess I wasn’t ready to quit? I dunno? 🤷♀️ So, I’m actually not sure what I’m going to do now. Part of me thinks I will just get back on track and keep plugging away. Overall I’m feeling better, I’m sleeping MUCH better, I’m calmer not as anxious, but the headache was so unbearable that I think that’s why I quit. It’s hard to have a headache for days on end with Little’s and homeschooling. So I think needed more carbs. I was getting plenty of potatoes and starchy veggies so I’m not sure?
Even if I don’t restart Whole 30 I won’t be reintroducing dairy or sugar, not even on my daughters birthday, no cake for me 🙅♀️ 🍰 I think cutting those out has helped me to feel so much better.
