The green slop mess express 🤪🚆🌱Hawaiian-ISH pulled pork + bacon, cauliflower rice, mixed dark greens... topped with a chimichurri-ISH paste made of flat leaf parsley, fresh squeezed lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper and a trunk load of garlic. Not much to look at, but pretty zingy 🍋fresh 🌱and fine 💃🏻🌱💥. . . Hawaiian-ISH pulled pork is basically 2.5 lb pork roast put into the pressure cooker with 6 strips of bacon + 1 tsp Hawaiian black lava salt & 1 tsp red Hawaiian salt + 1/4 cup minced garlic and 8 oz of water —- goes into the pressure cooker for 80 minutes. 🍴This goes into and on top of stuff all week. . . Even though I worked out over an hour today...that wasn't a punishment, and food wasn't my reward. It used to be. I'd punish myself for eating too much, or reward myself for exercising a ton! Can anyone relate?! Early 2016 I found a love for exercise, all of 2017 I made no routine time for it, but all of 2018 (so far) I've made it priority. While you do need more food when exercising.. you don't want to exercise, then binge. Or binge then (angrily) exercise to punish yourself. Day my day, meal by meal, sometimes minute by minute.. make the right choice ❤️ If you fall off.. don't wait till Monday, don't wait till tomorrow, just make your next meal a good one.. and keep going! Another @blueapron / @whole30 meal: seared salmon & harissa vegetables with red onion vinaigrette 🍴Delicious and relatively easy! Had a hearty breakfast this morning so I wasn’t really hungry for lunch. I opted for a merienda aka a late afternoon snack. I made Ukoy (oo-coy) which is a Filipino root vegetable fritter with shrimp. Normally I love these with just plain carrots and scallions but today I needed the protein... • SHRIMP UKOY | shredded carrots, roughly chopped baby shrimp, spring onion, arrowroot powder+water... Combine carrots, chopped green onion, 1 tbsp. water, 1 tbsp. arrowroot powder. Toss together, mixture will be watery. Grab a small handfuls and place in large pan (can probably fit 3 at a time) with hot coconut oil on med.-high heat. Turn occasionally to brown evenly. Alright @dailyharvest, these new Harvest Bowls are seriously genius 👌🏼 I just tried the Pesto Cauliflower Bowl (cauliflower, spinach, basil, sundried tomatoes, cashews, nutritional yeast) and it was the perfect quick & easy lunch 〰️ just pour the cup of frozen veggies into a pan and heat through for about 4 minutes. I added some shredded mozzarella cheese because it’s who I am as a person 🧀 but in the future I’ll probably add some protein to make it a bit more filling. It’s is Day 15! Here is breakfast. Egg omelet stuffed with apples, sausage, shredded Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes. I couldn’t even eat the side of potatoes... Keeping it real here today!! So, here’s what my plan was. After my Hawaii vacation and in the middle of the Holiday Season I knew I needed to do some sort of reset to get me back on track. To figure out a plan to get on track and stay on track. In the past I have done one complete #whole30 and several #whole10 & #whole14 ‘s with great success. (If you don’t know what #whole30 is then I suggest you go to their blog and read about it.) I honestly have a love/hate relationship with it. I love it because it works- helps with emotional eating, food intolerances/allergies, resetting your body, some weight loss, and SO many NSV. I hate it because it’s freaking hard, especially for this picky eater! But if I can do it, I know you can! Anyhow... I had set out ONLY to do a 10 day or 14 day reset. I made it 11.5 days. I kind of hoped I’d make it 14 total days, and at one point I thought I could even do the whole 30 days! So I made it 11.5 days. I met my goal, I was on point EVERYday, and then for whatever reason I was done. And I took it way harder then I thought I would. I picked my drug of choice-DayOld Cheese pizza 🧀 🍕 , and three bites in I started crying! 😢 What!? Yes, crying!!! Because I went “off-plan” even though I had met my initial goal! So, I guess I wasn’t ready to quit? I dunno? 🤷‍♀️ So, I’m actually not sure what I’m going to do now. Part of me thinks I will just get back on track and keep plugging away. Overall I’m feeling better, I’m sleeping MUCH better, I’m calmer not as anxious, but the headache was so unbearable that I think that’s why I quit. It’s hard to have a headache for days on end with Little’s and homeschooling. So I think needed more carbs. I was getting plenty of potatoes and starchy veggies so I’m not sure? Even if I don’t restart Whole 30 I won’t be reintroducing dairy or sugar, not even on my daughters birthday, no cake for me 🙅‍♀️ 🍰 I think cutting those out has helped me to feel so much better. Mini Whole30 Reset D5M2 ••• Leftover spinach and artichoke twice baked potatoes with a kale, berry and coconut water smoothie. ••• I really wanted to quit last night, and thanks to some encouragement from @caitventiere, I’m still on this Whole30 train. ••• And while smoothies are not allowed in the Whole30 rules, I’m allowing it in my mini reset, because I really needed some dark greens and I did not want to eat them, but there is about 3 cups of kale in this bad boy and it actually wasn’t that great haha. Whole 30 D1:M1 Aidells Chicken Apple Sausage with mustard (not pictured) Broccoli 3 oz slightly burned sweet potato 😒 (courtesy of mom life and sick/demanding kids) 1/2 apple with a little less then 2 Tablespoons homemade cashew butter I've already had to fight the urge to grab even just a piece of cereal - which is weird because I don't eat cereal. It hurts my stomach. I am very much looking forward to kicking this constant craving to snack and/or have sugar. There is one caveat however. (Whole 30ers, don't jump down my throat. I've done whole 30 before, I know the rules.) I am doing this to make a lifestyle. With that being said, one time a week (usually on Thursdays) I will have date night dinner. Sometimes that will be compliant. Sometimes it won't. For that one dinner I will enjoy my time with my hubby, myself, and my food. 😁

I don’t think I’ve ever had such a strong temptation to give up on a whole30 as I did this past weekend. We were tired, running behind, and SO HUNGRY. I just wanted comfort food. I’d planned to make cabbage rolls for dinner, but didn’t want to spend the time. So I made a deconstructed cabbage roll bowl... and it was amazing! It fit the comfort food category and stayed compliant. Stephen approved 😋(he’s been strictly doing whole30 eating when we’re together, God love him ❤️). Day 21 is off and running! Went to the gym at 5:30 AM for a three-mile run and finished legs/abs day for weights. 🏃‍♀️💪🏼 **Breakfast was two fried eggs over spinach with half an avocado and a small sweet potato. just in case anyone had the idea that this momma has it together 👇🏻 welcome to my monday where i snoozed my alarm, forgot to make aves lunch until we were walking out the door, BARELY made t to the bus. oh and me? i am showing up to preschool drop off with hair that hasn’t been brushed and my breakfast is going to be an apple I just found in my bag before the gym. i could post this #sofiltered pic with a caption a out hot coffee and quiet moments but that’s not what we need as women. we need truth that we are not the only ones just surviving some days. that the snippets on social media are NOT the standard you should be holding yourself to. instead of measuring yourself against that two sec me peak into motherhood and life ask yourself am i teaching my babies to serve with love. are they thriving, so they know compassion and understanding. you weren’t created to be perfect pictures of motherhood. , we were created to raise up young deciples. to show them how to lean in, how to embrace our imperfections and remind them there is only one perfect person and he gave HIS LIFE so that we wouldn’t have to worry about perfection. today soak in the truth that you were chosen for a reason for those babies and there is nothing the world can do to change that.

R4, D22M3: salad with burgers & roasted taters! So dang good! Quick, easy dinner. I’m pretty sure this is the first time this round we’ve had Bubba Burgers! In previous rounds we have lived off them! I’ll consider that quite the victory!

🥑A V O C A D O • P E S T O🥑 ••• Spiralized some zoodles today and home made an avocado pesto sauce with avocado oil, avocado, pine nuts, basil, garlic and lemon juice. Grilled up some chicken with Mrs. dash chicken seasoning & threw it in. Took me less than 20 mins and it was so tasty and satisfying! 😍😍😍
