What an experience for my youngest daughter Mariam had on our trip yesterday.
I’m so proud of her. She endured hard, steep, thick terrain on our hike. It was something different than the normal bushwalking or the scouting she’s done with me.
She is one tough courageous girl who did not complain and tried her best to keep up.
I slowed down at times and kept cheering her on by motivating her to keep on going, letting her know that she’s doing well. She’s one tough cookie, God bless her heart.
On our way back home, I looked at her and asked her a question. I told her that she must answer truthfully and I wouldn’t get upset with her answer no matter what it may be and all I want is for her and her siblings to be happy.
She then said, “yes mum I will”.
I asked her, “Do you still want to be a hunter and did the hike put you off of hunting?”.
She then responded with, “Mum, I love it and I now know I really really want to be a hunter”.
Oh the joy in my heart that came when she gave me her answer. I’m so proud to be a mother of Four wonderful, amazing, smart and respectful children who are growing to aspire one day.
I truly believe that we as parents must install the love of nature, conservation, adventure and kindness in our offsprings hearts. We must teach them how to love and how to help, to always respect all within this beautiful world and what we have been given. To also work hard for what they want and show them how to survive. They will learn to appreciate all that is little and feel blessed for the smallest things in life. Remind them that we are lucky and always make sure your children understand that by showing them that we as parents are great role models. Inspire to aspire. They are our future ❤️
