If that’s true, then this little guy will be well-traveled, with millions of stories to share. He is curious about everything, ready for adventure, and a go-getter already! I sure hope that never changes!
When I was pregnant with Connor, life was good, but I was just going through the motions each day. I’d get my job done, I’d take care of the kids, I’d put dinner on the table and I’d get back to work at night. I was just getting through the day.
I wasn’t learning anything new, and I wasn’t pushing myself to be a better version of me. In fact, it didn’t even cross my mind that things could be GREAT if I put the effort in. I was fine. I was nauseous 24/7 and too tired to hold a conversation, but I figured that would pass.
After having Connor and now a full year of taking a little time to better myself every day (yes, physical activity, but also books, articles and podcasts) and I feel like a better mom, wife, boss and employee. I have energy and enthusiasm to make every day great, and I’m curious, willing to learn and I want to turn everything into an adventure!l.
Sure, some days I’m cranky, but I know how to turn it around, and I know that it’s up to me to do it.
To the Mamas that are feeling like you’re just going through the motions, I get it. I was there too. It’s hard to get out of routine (in fact, I LOVE routine!), get curious and push yourself. The hardest part is making the decision to do something for you. Once you make that decision, there’s so much out there to learn to help make every day better. You go it!
