3am, this time last year... I woke Caleb up very calmly & told him “I think we need to go to the hospital”...a little over 12 hours later, we were staring into those sweet, observant little blue eyes. I was feeling emotions that I never knew existed—Consisting of what felt like my greatest fears combined with fairy tale dreams. Feeling totally unprepared & like I was completely made for this all at the same time.
We talk often about how we don’t even remember what we did before Waylon came into our lives (aside from maybe sit down at the dinner table & calmly eat our food😅) Really though—Waylon is such a special, special boy & he has brought so much joy into our lives. He wakes up with a smile on his face—the sweetest, biggest, dimply-smile you’ve ever seen. If you know him, you know he smiles with his whole body and it’s so contagious! He’s a worshipper & the greatest little dancer. Eater of all the things (edible & nonedible) Mister personality. The kiddo loves to talk. Persistent. Curious & fearless (always doing things that give me hot flashes😅) Lover of people (which we specifically prayed for) He truly just radiates joy and is the sweetest gift! Happy First Birthday to my “Tiny-Tine”💛 #waylonwestd
