What if life wasn’t about getting the best grades, getting to the top and being the trophy wife and the perfect mother. What if it was just about being you? Following your heart, no matter how wild the call, to screw “dressing your age” and “Mom hair” and just present yourself however the hell you want irregardless of age, body-shape or income. To drink the black coffee and play the music loudly, to have fiddly arguments and make up with all the kisses. To let those kids who destroyed your stomach to also jump on the beds on rainy days and have cake for lunch, because HELLO you want it too! The more I #motherbloodyhard the more I realise I am going to “mother” whatever the hell way I want, I don’t have to look like a mum, I don’t have to have all the laundry sorted all the time (that would be a bonus though). I’ve always been independent, a “need-nothing-from-nobody” sorta person, something I have inherited from the women in my family, yeah I can handle myself, but I enjoy having someone along for the ride - that @fatherbeastie who is not only encouraging but just as maverick as me when it comes to those cursed stereotypes.
