I thought about creating a capsule wardrobe, but I realized that it just isn’t for me... at the least the idea that everything is neutral and simple. I want to minimize my closet, but I love having statement pieces and a variety of colors and silhouettes that can fluctuate with my mood (and waistline 😂). I love expressing myself through clothes - in real life and via my virtual window shopping 🛍😂 I’m at a point though where I don’t wear at least 50% of my closet, and I know it’s time to purge. But why is it SO HARD?? My only motivation right now is more closet space for new clothes and the funds that I would get from liquidating my closet 😂💸 Overall I just want to live with less stuff and narrow down my treasures to pieces that really make my heart sing.
You know that saying, “I want to be a Pinterest mom, but I’m really an amazon prime mom”? Well I feel like I want to have an organized closet like Marie Kondo, but I really have a closet like Cher Horowitz (minus the godly mechanics). Sigh. Maybe my neutral and simple don’t have to follow the typical capsule rules? Now, who wants to help me?! 🙋🏻♀️💁🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
