I received my second outfit from @yogaclubbox, and when I pulled the pieces out I loved each and everyone of them. When I put them on though, it was a different story. I put on the tights and crop top sports bra, and picked out everything I didn't like about my body. • • Why do we do this to ourselves, why are we so critical of our own bodies. My body carried and birthed three healthy children naturally. My body is strong and capable, it has functioned through no sleep, stressful nights, sick kids, nursing babies, you name it, yet I still tend to focus on the imperfections. • • I started at this picture for a long time, I debated posting it, but something happened while I started at it, I started to see it differently, I started to focus on all the gains I've achieved, all the things my body has done, and then I decided "Fuck Yeah" I look awesome!! I am strong!! I am beautiful!!

Let’s talk about body image shall we..... It is a VICIOUS mind that I for one have fallen victim to most of my life and it is hitting HARD right now. So what do I do???? I’m learning......learning how to care more about how I feel physically over what my jeans size is......learning that my body is capable of producing miracles so I better pay it the respect it deserves......learning that just like life my body is going to go through stages and I have found it to be 100% true that the most uncomfortable stages ALWAYS bring about the most beautiful outcomes. So......even though my brain is telling me a lot of BS about what I should believe about myself. How do you stay motivated? It CAN be difficult but doesn’t have to be! Whether it’s to lose weight or any other major goal, I want to share my TOP 3 TIPS for CRUSHING YOUR [WEIGHT LOSS] GOALS! 💪🏼 . 1.Be mindful of who you surround yourself with 👯‍♀️ . Without even realizing it, we are fed information + energy from those we engage with consistently. Are your ppl in line with you? 🤔 For example, if you’re trying to get healthy, hopefully your tribe is supportive of your choices or even better, the example of who you wish to model one day. If you’re surrounding yourself with people who constantly question your behaviors or worse, are out pounding drinks and eating late night junk food every time you hang out, you might wanna reconsider where you invest your time.... #yourvibeattractsyourtribe . 2. Take it ☝️ day at a time! When I first started to lose weight, I didn’t focus on losing 85 pounds. That would have felt impossible! I focused on small goals in between. Eliminating soda. Eating more vegetables. Learning to workout...and then as I achieved (& celebrated!) those micro goals, the number on the scale dropped. 🎉 Don’t get bombarded by the bigger picture. I mean I have a goal to be a millionaire but I certainly have MANY micro goals to getting there 😂🤑😉 . 3. Create a routine 🗓 You can’t expect to achieve anything if you go about it casually. You must have intention + a plan. I’m not sayin’ to plan your day to the second, buuut DO take the guesswork out of things. Prep your meals in advance, set out your workout clothes, schedule in 30 mins to sweat, or if you get busy, set a damn timer to remind you to eat every few hours! You reduce your obstacles this way because we all know “life happens,” so controlling what you can only benefits you! Hope that helps someone out there, do you have any tips you swear by? I am proud of myself 💪 . . Does that sound weird to say to yourself? Does it make you feel like a big fat head with a huge ego? Do you feel awkward owning your proudness? 🤷‍♀️ . . The more I believe in myself the better I feel. It's such a simple equation that yields amazing life changing results. The better I feel the more positive life is, and I definitely love a more positive feel good life. If me being proud of my achievements means I have a big head then I'm all for it. But seriously, why should it mean that? We should be able to take pride in what we can achieve. We should be able to honour and celebrate what we do. And guess what? We can. I can. You can. It's only when you allow thoughts of wondering what others think that creates such a downward spiral in your own beliefs. . . Be confident in yourself. The only people who put you down are the ones who want to achieve those results too. Share the love. Be proud. Own your life. Stand tall and be fabulous. Why the hell not?!? Eating the rainbow. Always. 🌈🌈🌈 . . Pretty much every day I have a tonne of salad veggies, sweet potato, protein such as chickpeas and hemp seeds for lunch as it's simple, tasty, meets my nutrition requirements, satisfies my body and easy to throw together 👌 However, I fancied trying these @geniusglutenfree beetroot wraps 💗 after seeing them at the shop. These wraps are gluten free, vegan AND don't fall apart when wrapped (bonus!!! As I've found many gluten free wraps fall apart in my hands when going for that big mouthful haha). They were very tasty and satisfied that wrap urge. I looooove wrapping food, to be honest I love using big lettuce leaves for wraps, I love the crunch, freshness and how my stomach feels after. Nori sheets, corn tortillas and rice paper are fab too. Anyone else a huge fan of wrapping food? 😍 . . Lunch bowl: lettuce, spiralised courgette and carrot, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, @geniusglutenfree beetroot wraps. Optional: delicious with @moorishumous pea protein hummus I've found that is amaaaaaaazing!! 😍

Let’s just say I’m so thankful Cody believed in me and believed in us. For some reason, during the first year we were dating, I told him and other people in my life that I didn’t believe in long distance relationship ships. 😱 Now before we started dating during our last year of high school, I had already committed to a college six hours from home and he was going to school three hours the opposite way. . What was I thinking!? Honestly, I was selfish. Very selfish. Ouch that’s hard to say and admit about my past self. I also think I acted like that because I didn’t believe I was worthy enough. . Sometimes you need just one person to believe in you. To love you unconditionally and it changes your whole life. I would be half the woman I am today without this man. ⭐️ It doesn’t happen overnight! Be patient. Keep working hard. Keep switching it up. There are almost 4 years between these two photos. I am always looking to learn more, train smarter, FEEL STRONG, etc. this summer I started lifting again and I’m really feeling strong and awesome again in my body. • • ⭐️ Remember that your health and fitness is a journey. It’s not a diet pill, a fad, a 12-week program, or a quick fix. Stay consistent and Respect and honor your physical limitations, but also never stop expanding them. Empower yourself by owning the choices you make. Beating yourself up for what you don’t have or “can’t do” (yet), doesn’t get you closer to your goals. You can only use what you’ve got and create something you’re proud of! • • ⭐️Take it one day at a time. Listen to your body. Push it when you need to, but remember to rest when it’s screaming at you. • • ⭐️I want to be in the best shape of my life in all the stages of my life. My goal is to live the strongest and healthiest life that I possibly can for as long as I possibly can. Killing yourself to “achieve something”, at least to me, isn’t worth it. • • ⭐️Strength looks different on everyone. What language are you using to describe yourself? Do you refer to yourself as broke? Poor? Defeated? Miserable? Helpless? Unable? . People who call themselves broke stay broke. People who say that can’t do something don’t do anything. People who say it’s not possible find that it is NOT possible. . This is because our words and thoughts create the reality around us. When I stopped calling myself broke and poor, I stopped seeing myself as broke and poor. That’s why I now actually have money in savings. That’s why I now have a financial advisor. . When I stopped referring to myself as stuck, I stopped viewing myself as stuck. That’s why I totally changed my life, invested in my own business, and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I have all my hopes and dreams unfolding. . There is nothing that makes me special. I’ve been 40lbs overweight, I am in 6 figure debt, I’ve declared bankruptcy, I’ve worked dead-end jobs. Literally NOTHING remarkable about me or my life other than these two things: . 1. I dare to dream big and believe anything is possible 2. I live my life based on my GOALS, not my past. . If I can do it, there is abso-fucking-lutely nothing that can stop you from doing it. So I’ve been asked before why I became a coach and it’s actually a crazy simple story. I needed more accountability for myself! Seems backwards at first right? Well not really...⠀ .⠀ You see, I kept giving up on myself and I was on this constant yo-yo of (in)consistency with caring about my health that I finally just said— I need to be ALL IN to start making progress.⠀ .⠀ I’m the type that when asked for help I will immediately say yes and then do whatever I can to help someone. Yet at the same time- I wasn’t doing that for myself. So my solution? Become a coach and in the process of helping/motivating others I’ll also be showing up for myself because I’ll be doing the workouts and nutrition with them.⠀ .⠀ And for real— it was the best decision I’ve ever made. // 2 HOUR BULLETIN BOARDS // . Yup. Here comes another first year teacher story. I was hired one week before I took my first job as a third grade teacher and the frantic shock of how long things took, how much I had to do, and how little time I had to prepare for my first year with students was of course jaw dropping. My first task seemed simple enough which was just getting pretty colored bulletin paper and border up. Luckily I had some help from some seasoned teachers and could use the school’s supply of paper and border left behind from past teachers. . Measured. Cut. Did it fit the first time?! After some words with the paper and my scissors...nope. It was crooked like I did it with my eyes closed. . Two hours later I had what seemed like the saddest looking bulletin boards. Like a rainbow vomited on them and there was no theme to them. No thought put into them. . But what I missed then that I see now (after many bulletin boards later) is that I started. I JUST STARTED, LITERALLY. My first bulletins wouldn’t be perfect and with time I learned tricks and tips to be more efficient with my time when it came to new bulletins. . When it comes to anything in life that’s new, it will be hard. It will take longer than you think. But you’ve got to START! You WILL get better with time! . It’s been four years since I started this journey with my workout programs and I’m still learning and still gaining muscle. What do you just need to start to reach your goals? Tell me below! ⬇️

Yesterday I talked about how acceptance is NOT the same as settling - that we resist accepting things because we don’t want to settle. But really, that is a bullshit reason. When you're refusing to accept what IS - there is always FEAR underneath. Fear of what it would mean IF you accepted it. Accepting, “I haven’t exercised in 8 months” or “I haven’t taken time for myself since before baby was born”, can be scary. Because when we admit & accept it - we then need to do something about it. And if we don't, then that means something about us (or at least, we think it does)...so you'd have to deal with those feelings. It can be WAY easier to forget or make excuses. Once you accept the truth though, you’ll likely feel compelled to do something about it, which can lead to difficult conversations with yourself or with others. Maybe it will mean you finally get to speak up for yourself and admit you just *cannot* do it all (cause um, no one can) & that you need some help. OR, maybe it means you need to learn to love your tummy, exactly as it is right now. Because guess what? No matter *what* it looks like, your body deserves to be loved, unconditionally, in its entirety. And THAT can feel scary as hell as well. So what are you scared of accepting? Get comfortable with focusing on standing up each time you fall rather than thinking you aren’t going to fall at all.

In the past I’d eat #clean all week, binge on the weekends. All or nothing, no moderation whatsoever. 😵 But after getting pregnant I realized that sometimes as mamas, we will do things for our babies we won’t do for ourselves. Is anyone else FREEZING?! When you are cold, a hot drink is just the ticket! The problem is, I don’t drink coffee,sometimes I want something with a little more substance than tea, and hot chocolate is not in line with my breakfast goals. Ready for my solution?! -1cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, heated. -1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder -1/2 tsp dark cocoa -2 tsp pero coffee replacement (or I’m sure instant coffee would work??) -One dash cinnamon Blend until smooth and frothy! So perfect to warm you up, give you a bit of protein, and keep your sugar intake low...3-5 grams vs the 22grams in regular hot chocolate! *If you are making it for the kids you can swap the coffee (or replacement) for 1-2tsp of hot chocolate mix. it will add some sugar but is still a much better option to the regular stuff! (This recipe is enough for both of my school age kids to split.) Add some whole grain toast or muffin and breakfast is served! **What is your favorite cozy morning drink? ☕️**

Did you know that studies are showing that weight stigma has more of a negative effect on health than being "overweight" according to standard BMI scales? Yes, you heard that right.  Being stigmatized because of weight leads to lack of self-love and compassion, which cause you to not care about your eating or your health. We have a long way to go in our society to be loving and inclusive of people living in any size bodies.  We collectively have this holier than thou attitude toward people that don't fit the very narrow mold that we have been spoon fed. What are Some of the Best Exercises to Do After Having a Baby? Many women are told to wait six weeks (or possibly longer) before getting back to your regular exercise program. While you are busy enjoying—and experiencing ecstasy—for the new addition to your family, getting your body back to its pre-pregnancy state can be frustrating to deal with. After delivery of your baby, begin walking as soon as possible. Walk for as long as you can, and as the weeks pass, increase the length and speed of your walks. After speaking to your doctor at your six week appointment (and being given the “go ahead”) incorporate a yoga class into your routine and increase strength through pelvic tilts and the supported bridge and warrior poses. Pilates is another great workout to try, as well as some light weights. Go slow, and tweak your workout if you experience any discomfort. Where there’s a will, there is always a way. You deserve to have the best body possible, so focus on being proactive in your approach to fitness. Workouts to Avoid If You Are Trying to Lose Weight Are you committed to losing weight in the healthiest way possible? If so, then you probably know high intensity workouts are the way to a slim and toned body. Focus on the Total Body Workout (Not Specifically Targeted Exercises) If you want to lose more than 20 pounds, it doesn’t do you much good to do exercises that target a smaller muscle group. Exercises such as the flat bench press, bicep curls, or even calf raises aren’t the best use of your time—as they don’t maximize the fat blasting workout you could have with exercises that target larger muscle groups at once. Instead, shoot for a workout like the rowing machine, which will target your back, chest, shoulders, biceps and core all at once. Or, go for an ‘old school’ workout that includes jumping jacks, squats, jump rope, push-ups and lunges. Using your body weight as resistance is an excellent way to work your entire body out (no gym equipment needed!) Sure, you’ll feel the burn—but you’ll see the benefit within weeks of a total body workout! ▪️Don’t Participate in the ‘Zombie Workout’ ▪️Manage Your Cardio Amount (Don’t Overdo It) If you have weight to lose, remember that that weight is putting strain on your joints—so take it easy, and start with a lower intensity cardio plan.
