Answer: How it’s grown and processed can make all the difference.👇⠀ ⠀ When it comes to controversial foods, soy is king. Tofu, soymilk, miso, and the like have long had reputations as ultra crunchy health foods. Had to find some new Protein Bars that don’t irritate my gut, I found these one I feel a lot better after eating these as they have less artificial sweeteners, which unfortunately means slightly higher calories around 170-200 a bar. There are still some artificial sweeteners but they don’t seem to set me off personally, plus lately I can’t live without the connivence of protein bars. I have tried all of them but the coconut one, my favourite is Cookie Dough and my least favourite is Cookies and Cream (but it is still good!). DINNER 💙 Did not share my evening foodplates for a while ➡️ yesterday I made some veggie pan mixed with cooked spelt. Therefore I took porree, dried tomatoes, olives, corn, basil, ginger, curry herb, sunflowerseeds, 2tsp of sweet sour sauce 👌 Thats my type of fresh & delicious stuff ! 💯 Mit der Selbstständigkeit fällt das Kochen aktuell öfters flach aber gestern waren Zeit & Muße vorhanden ➡️ es gab eine gemischte Gemüsepfanne mit Kochdinkel. Dafür habe ich Lauch, getrocknete Tomaten, Oliven, Mais, Basilikum, Ingwer, Currykraut, Sonnenblumenkerne, etwas Süßsauer Sauce miteinander rausgebraten & zum Schluss Dinkel dazugegeben 👌 Ich mag ihn lieber als Reis, denn die Konsistenz ist etwas weicher & runder im Mund. Happy Hump Day! 🐫 I’m still buzzing from my weekend away in London visiting one of my school friends! We had a prosecco picnic (the best kind), hired bikes around Hyde Park, visited @tasteoflondon then went out for drinks in Clapham North. I also came up with an easy low FODMAP meal for nights away: @mccainuk Jacket potato, tinned salmon with mayo and a little broccoli 👌🏼Today I’ve ended up with just one lesson to teach now that year 11 have gone. TURKEY TACO BOWLS 🌮 The easiest dinner when you want something delicious and light! Super healthy and low carb. Great for those who eat a low FODMAP diet. Check out the recipe below 👇🏼 and watch my story for the play by play. ⭐️ Makes: 2-4 servings INGREDIENTS: 1-1.3 lbs lean ground turkey 2 tbsp @fodyfoods Taco Seasoning (or 1 tsp garlic powder (omit if low FODMAP) 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp salt 1 tsp chili powder 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp oregano) 1/2 bell pepper, minced 3/4 chicken stock 4 oz can tomato sauce or 1 cup chopped tomatoes 8 large lettuce leaves - I use Boston lettuce 1/2 cup shredded reduced fat cheddar (optional) 1/2 cup brown rice 1/2 avocado, mashed Salt and pepper, to taste DIRECTIONS: 1. Brown turkey in a large skillet with 1 tbsp olive oil, breaking it into smaller pieces as it cooks. 2. When no longer pink add peppers, tomato sauce or tomatoes and chicken stock. 3. Add seasoning, salt and pepper. Reduce temperature and simmer for 5-10 minutes, until reduced. 4. Wash and dry the lettuce. Make the brown rice. 5. Build your bowl with your favourite toppings! Regrann from @plant_powered_rachel - Kale and almond pesto on some gluten free pasta with some delicious cherry tomatoes - its worth spending a few more pennies on the good ones in things like this. What do you all consider to be a 'portion' of cherry tomatoes? Scarily I said double what my dad (who is a classic intuitive eater) said... I don't seem to have much concept of realistic portions any more 🤪 This IBS and low FODMAP diet is teaching me something at least, which is for good gut health, portion control is just as import for the low calorie food as it is the high calorie food. Recipe for pesto, serves 1, 10 almonds, 2 tbsp nutritional yeast, juice of half a lemon, handful of washed kale, bit of fresh parsley, tbsp of garlic infused oil, half a red chilli (optional extra I had today), salt and pepper and water to blend to the right consistency. 🥦My favorite Low FODMAP Spicy Roasted Broccoli 🥦 . 8 cups broccoli florets ¼ cup garlic infused olive oil 2 Tbsp. low sodium soy sauce (tamari or coconut aminos* for gluten-free ) ¼ tsp. red pepper flakes . INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Toss broccoli florets with olive oil. Roast for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with tamari and red pepper flakes. Serve. . NOTES Broccoli: A low FODMAP serving is 1 cup or 90 grams. . Paleo/Whole30: Substitute coconut aminos for soy sauce. Coconut aminos has not been tested for FODMAP content. 😱 Dude are you for real?! 😱 . . . Where the hell have these been all my life? I heard about them the other day and I thought it was a crock 🙅🏻‍♀️ of you know what!! . But the info came a person I think highly of so I gave it a shot.. . So...I’ll fill you in on what I’m speaking of. These delectable green juicy candy 🍭 in fruit form 🍇 . Frickin Cotton Candy grapes. Who woulda thought 🤷🏻‍♀️ these were such a thing.. . I don’t even like grapes that much and now my mouth 👄 is watering 💦 for them.. . If you haven’t tried them, you should, I mean like right now 👇🏻 . For 2️⃣ reasons.. . ☝🏻, being well they are so darn delicious 😋 and ✌🏻, they are great for digestion.. . So if you get bound up ever, eat a serving of grapes. It does not break down like other fiber foods and because they are made using of 70 % water 💧 it helps to move things along. Or if you are having the opposite issue. Because of the high water content it will replace the water you are losing.. . . . So get your butt 🍑 out there and try these before I eat them all 😍😂

My beautiful baked chicken and roasted carrots from yesterday. I’m trying to get more creative with meal time since my diet is restricted to #glutenfree #dairyfree #lowfodmap for IBS-C, chronic hives, and potential thyroid dysfunction (more on that last one this coming week). I’m also doing intermittent fasting and tracking again on @myfitnesspal now to see if that helps with #weightloss which has seemed next to impossible this past year.
