A senior Treasury Department employee and self-described whistleblower appeared in court Wednesday after her arrest for leaking the financial records of former Trump campaign officials.
NatalieMayflower Sours Edwards, 40, is accused of leaking to a news organization a series of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
The transactions involved campaign chairman PaulManafort, his deputy Richard Gates, accused Russian agent MariaButina and the Russian embassy, officials said Wednesday. The leaked information was the basis for a series of media reports about SpecialCounsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

BrianBrenberg, executive vice president at King's College, said there is a "pattern" of people in the government having a willingness to go "outside the law and norms" because they feel opposing President Trump is right.
