The post workout, “I’m smiling, but I can barely breathe face”! . ☀️ Did my legs give out a couple times? Yep! ☀️ Did it challenge me? For sure! ☀️ Did it work up a sweat? Uh, without a doubt! ☀️ Did I have to modify some of it! Yes! ☀️ Do I regret using Evelyn’s nap time to workout versus getting work done around the house? Not a chance! . I used to be the master of creating and believing my excuses. I always had too much to do, too little time, too many responsibilities, etc. . These excuses were what I hid behind because in the end, I didn’t really want to exercise. I had very little desire to spend my limited “me” time exercising. Okay, let’s be honest, absolutely zero desire to. . But, I had to make a change. I wasn’t healthy, both physically and mentally. . Yes, I have lost 50 lbs. But, what I have gained is way more important - strength, confidence, happiness, health, a healthy way to handle stress, and so much more! . Fall in love with taking care of yourself ❤️ . . It was kind of funny the other day I was talking about habits with my family. Exercise is my daily habit and I confessed that I get anxiety if I just two days pass by and I haven’t worked my body.. I was kind of worried what they would say to that...but they all said “That’s so good!” We laughed when someone said “I get anxiety just thinking about working out.” 🤣 Honestly you guys, if you haven’t exercised in a LONG time I’m sure thinking about picking it up would cause anxiety! You may not know how to even start, what do to first and possible fear being super sore and can’t wait to the bathroom the following day. The unknown is scary. But if you have a strong desire to change and you know that exercise would benefit you (I mean, I won’t get into all of the benefits it has on our bodies and mentality) you have to just take it slow. If you missed my live story yesterday I talked about breaking your goals down in 2019. Start slow, and be consistent. If you’re going to start one day, make it today. Ask yourself if your excuses are REALLY legit, because I know mine weren’t. Prior to a lifestyle focused on my wellness, I was SURE I had every reason for why it wasn’t number one. The excuses came by the handfuls in my early 20s, and then again postpartum. So, I do love food, and generally feed my family pretty healthy meals🥗. I’m not (totally😉) silly🤪 and understand good nutrition, but I previously had no self control when it came to treats, 🍭🍫🍦🍰🍨of any kind!😬 After baby number 3 I found it harder to bounce back mentally and physically. Life is hectic and I fits lots in to make the most of each day🙌🏼. I HATE thinking about what to cook for dinner, every, night🙄. So.... I decided to commit, like, really commit to doing a Healthy Living Program. Not something I had ever ‘thought’ I really needed to do; but I really did need to do it. #transfermationtuesday From almost 3 yes ago to now. 3 yrs ago prior to this picture I was in the hospital going on 2 weeks I believe, 34 weeks pregnant with my sweet baby boy. I had another relapse from my TTP. Once I got out and back home I realized I started gaining water weight from my meds. I was irritated all the time, mood swings like crazy (being pregnant didn't help ha 😂) I fought my sweet cravings the best I could because I knew it would make it worse. After I had my son, I started to slowly get off the meds but, steroids are horrible but that's one thing that's helps me so I don't have a while lot of choice. We were home for a few weeks and my TTP came back soni had to start the whole thing over AGAIN. I have been in remission since my son was about 2 months old. I didn't recognize myself I didn't feel like myself I was miserable inside and out. Started working out, kinda not really watching what we ate but it was better than what was. Started seeing some change but i hit a dead spot fast. Last feb, my coach reaches out to me she knew what I needed before I did and I'm.so greatful that she asked me to join her. it took me a few weeks to say yes but I finw did :) I was really nervous because NOTHING worked for me before. But within the first couoke weeks I started seeing change I started to feel better and happier with myself :) I mean the pictures speak for themselves. I am happier with myself and how I feel I'm glad my hubby supported me and that in have an amazing group of ladies to count on when I need an extra push. I will never regret signing up with my 1st program because I'm finally feeling myself. And I feel so amazing I wabt to share it with all you, and help you get started with the women you know you want to be. The happier you, the one that doesn't cry while getting ready, the one that has confidence in herself again, and just over all healthy. I know all this because this WAS me. Workout Wednesday! This morning was cold, dark, and raining... ⬆️ Street view as #seenonmyrun just to give you an idea of how not motivating the weather was! Lol. I left the house ready to just run around the block and come home because it’s the sort of weather that makes you want to hide indoors (lol) Instead, however, once I got going I didn’t want to stop! So I ran for 25 minutes before heading back. As soon as the baby was down for his morning nap I headed to my dumbbells for a quick 5 minute #hiit workout before some yoga with my 3 year old to cool down. And it’s not even 8am. So you didn’t eat so well on the weekend and then Monday came you had all the intention to do so but you didn’t meal prep on Sunday and really didn’t get a chance to get groceries done so Monday wasn’t good either and now you are into Tuesday and you are thinking to yourself why bother starting today I already screwed up Monday I’ll start next Monday. This cycle of thinking next Monday or the first of the month is a total BS! You’re sabotaging yourself. Start today don’t wait till tomorrow or the day after what makes that day more special than today? Do you honesty believe you will be more ready? You just have to start. I know from my own experience that unless you just start now it won’t happen. My suggestion for you is: today is the day make the decision to start it doesn’t have to be a total overhaul...go for a 30 min walk, skip the donuts at work, have a healthy lunch, drink 3 more glasses of water today then you did yesterday. BEFORE: 2015 • +20 lbs • pre-twins AFTER: 2018 • -20 lbs • post-twins I apologize for the HORRIBLE quality on this - but in 2015 when I was taking my very first before photo, I didn’t really care what it looked like. I wasn’t thrilled to be taking it at all, and I didn’t really think I’d ever use it to look back on, because nothing had ever worked before so why would this? I remember mauling over the decision to invest in my health for weeks before I took the plunge. I didn’t have a huge income & nothing else I’d ever used had worked, so wasting money wasn’t an option. So true ya'll!! I had to be aware and figure out my own bullshit before I could change. Knowing what my excusses were, what I did or said that held myself back, why I did those things and told myself the things that stopped me. Once I figured out my own bullshit, I changed it and realized it was all fake and nothing I said to myself was real! About a 2 year difference here. The weight is about the same. Its not about the number on the scale, and it has taken me a LONG TIME to realize that. Can't you just take a min and think what could happen if you just have yourself 30 days of eating clean ( with the occasional treatment here or there) and making time for u 5 days s week for less than 40 minutes? I'm wrapping up our last "official" weekend of camping with the family, gearing up for our second week of school, sporting events for my kiddos are in full swing, and I've been bust returning emails to individuals all weekend who are inquiring about my online September fitness group. 🍁 I had someone message me over the weekend here on IG, frustrated about why she’s not getting results. She's reducing her calories to around 1200 a day, exercising every day for longer than an hour (sometimes even two!), and cutting certain food groups out of her nutrition and is STUCK. No, no, no, no.....ladies. Seriously....Give yourself a break! I’ve been there and it doesn't have to be that difficult, you don't have to keep wasting money, and our time is valuable, right? You can get results in a simple 30 minutes. Trust me. Starving yourself, cutting out food groups and over-exercising, is just going to hurt your body! 😣 It actually does the opposite for you. Sure, you'll see some short-term changes, but it isn't sustainable. You have to find balance....overdoing it isn't the answer. Join my group for September, commit to it and stop the guesswork and get what you actually want. Four years ago, I was able to finally stop the madness of yo-yoing, and started living my days with what actually works, and did it a healthy and sustaining way, which is why I coach others to help them do the same! If you're reading this and you're wanting to change your life for the better, the "one day" mentality will not work. It just won't. One day may never come. You need to make the decision to start and then just do it...today. Don't worry about making huge changes....start small. If you're looking to lose weight, switch soda and sweet tea for water. Get up and just make the effort to MOVE more....even if you are just walking around your house or out to the mailbox at first. I know that change can be scary, but if you just start out small and then build from there, it takes a lot (if not all) of the fear (and stress)out of it. Also, don't be afraid of setbacks or plateaus. Everyone has them at times. Just keep moving forward. If you're thinking, "But I have a LONG way to go. It's too overwhelming." I get that. My journey is going to be a long one as well. Try not to focus on the distance you have left to go, and instead focus on how far you've come. Take pride in every little thing that you accomplish on the way....both scale and non-scale victories. Many obstacles in life are more of a mental challenge than a physical one, including weight loss. Work on changing your mindset and believe in yourself....because you CAN do it! If you're still saying "one day", try making today "day one" instead. You'll thank yourself days/weeks from now. ❤❤ . I'm so glad that I put my "one day" mentality #inhyndsight and changed it into "day one" back in June. Actually, I could even say that my day one was maybe even back in May when I started walking with my dad. And even further back if we're talking about my mental health.
