Second day of Christmas Self Care:
Prepare to book yourself in for a yoga session (even a mini one) If you can manage this today, great, but remember we are planning a day ahead to give yourself time to make it happen)
If you can sneak out by yourself to a class, extra points!! ;-) If not here are a few idea:
Google search for your local yoga place. Try for classes running in hours someone else can take the kids.
If this is laughable, search for mum’s and bub classes. This is how I made some of my closest Mama friends who to this day are my tribe. The very reason I am here for you. X
Still seems tricky - did you know you can can do yoga at home. Seriously, search for a yoga class, style of yoga if you know what you’re doing, even how long you want the class to be AND what you want to focus on...hips, shoulders, energy lift, meditative, ready for sleep...it’s awesome. I now pay a monthly fee of just $20 because lately I have been in a rutt and pretty average at getting out for regular self care, but this way I can at least sneak in short stints. And it works. Ok, I haven’t used it as much as I should, and it may not be as zen as it could, but lets be honest, for many of us, this just might have to be how we get the job done for a bit. Let me tell you, the more you do it, the more they get used to it and leave you alone. In the meantime, 15-30 minutes here and there is better than nothing. And I still always feel great after it's done. And this little challenge is all about developing habits, so here we go. Hands up if you're keen?
If you know of a great yoga studio/instructor, now is your chance to shout 'em out and share their business. Let's all support our community.
