✖️ARE YOU HAVING FUN WITH YOUR ART?✖️
It's funny how we often only listen to what we want to hear.
For example, if I only said:
"Just keep having fun",
"keep doing what you love everyday"
Everyone would be bouncing in agreement, 👏🏽
but as soon I say what no one else will...
We all need to do what we need to,
so we can improve, and guess what,
a lot of the time it's not going to be fun,
or something you love.
If you want the truth,
stop only listening to what you want to hear.
I had to, and I'm glad I did.
Because I listen to multiple points of view from people I admire, I've learned some incredible life lessons.
I promise you, look at those you admire who've achieved mastery of their craft.
They have fun, because their ok with NOT having fun all the time.
Does that make sense?
They did what they needed to get better.
And a lot of it was not fun. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now, look at the people that focus solely on having fun, saying the messages you enjoy like...
"just believe in yourself"
"if it's too hard just take a break"
"Art is supposed to be fun."
Are these people achieving mastery,
Or are they mastering having fun?
Trust me often times, I see the people who say those things (with good intentions)...
They often keep art as just a hobby.
If you want art to be more than your hobby,
if you have a passion for sharing your ideas, doing both is your best bet fam. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Work hard and play hard.
When it's time to lock in, do so.
When it's time to take time off, do so.
Comment below if this makes sense.👇🏽
