No matter the season, we are so grateful for our farm based educators! . @olfarm ・・・
On the eve of the Winter Solstice, we celebrate with this tbt photo of a member of the Manhattan Country School Class of 2011! Folklore speaks of many indicators of the upcoming seasons. Signs of a harsh winter can be “woodpeckers sharing a tree,” “thick hair on the back of a cows neck,” “for every fog in August, there will be equal numbers of snowfalls.”
At the MCS Farm, regardless of the season, we’ve followed the lesson of, “there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing.” Essentially saying, go outside!
