So, I recently tried the matcha latte from @ after I kept hearing about how good matcha was for you. Honestly, I didn’t really know why but I figured- hey it’s green so it must be healthy. 🤷🏻♀️ 👋🏻 Well, I’ve hit that point in my life where I should probably care about what I am putting into my body so I decided to do some research. So, here are just a few of the reasons to start your day with some morning Matcha! 🍵
1️⃣ It’s a great source of antioxidants and phytochemicals (which have been shown to improve cholesterol ratios, metabolism and lower cancer risk). 2️⃣ It contains EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) which is a potent antioxidant and the major reason for matcha’s health benefits.
3️⃣ Matcha has much less caffeine than coffee and tea (1/2 teaspoon matcha = 35mg/8oz, brewed coffee = 162mg/8oz, black tea = 42mg/8oz ).
