Egg, sweet potato chips, and avo is by far the perfect trio 😍 I eat this combo way too often but no shame 😎 It’s got a great balance of healthy fats, carbs, and protein plus it’s easy and filling 👌🏻 Perfect refuel after a morning run 🏃🏼‍♀️ I’d eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if I could but my body would probably need some other nutrients at some point 😜 If you’re trying to clean up your meat/eggs, organic brown eggs are the cheapest way to go 👌🏻 I’m trying to get all those added hormones out of my diet but grass fed beef/chicken is way more expensive 🙄 But luckily eggs you can get a dozen for a pretty reasonable price! Grilled Chicken Fajita Skewers perfect for summer grilling (๑>◡<๑) They were really simple to make. I made my own fajita (feel free to use a fajita seasoning packet!) and tossed the cubed chicken in it. Then I put the meat on a skewer with a mix of red, yellow bell peppers, and mushrooms . Regrann from @plantbasedrd - Happy Friday my dear friends! 🙌🏽 I had extra chickpeas so I figured I could go back to make this awesome bowl of plantains, beans and greens (all the essentials). 🌱 . Very simple bowl of roasted plantains, ginger spiced chickpeas, and greens. Everything I need is here in this moment. 😊 . Ginger Spiced Chickpeas 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained 1/2 tsp ginger powder 2 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp smoked paprika 1/4 tsp turmeric 1 tsp maple syrup (optional) 2 handfuls of spinach 🌱 . Add chickpeas and ginger to sauté pan. Move around pan for about 1-2 minutes over medium heat allowing ginger to become fragrant. Add remaining seasonings, soy sauce and maple syrup, then continue to sauté, allowing liquids to absorb into the dish. If ingredients begin to stick, add 1/8 cup veggie broth to the pan to loosen it up. Add in spinach, turn if heat and sauté in the warm pan until spinach fully wilts. To add some spicy heat feel free to add in chili flakes, hot sauce or even sriracha for another kick. 🌶 - #regrann

I get asked all the time about what “diet” I eat. • • The answer is simple. I eat real food. Mostly plants. I eat mostly what I want. I eat organic. I eat according to what my body needs (cycle syncing, for my pcos symptoms, what I feel I need, etc.). I don’t do well with strict diets like keto, and I don’t love labels when it comes to how and what we eat. 🤷🏼‍♀️ • • I’m not perfect and sometimes I make a conscious choice that I know isn’t the best. (Like eating tortilla chips before bed) and I’m okay with it. I don’t believe that any “diet” is a one size fits all. I believe that every body is different and has different needs. I also believe that while our body’s change, the needs change too. I don’t believe I always had a hard time with gluten, and maybe one day I will be able to drink coffee again in moderation. • • I just think it’s really important to know this: it’s okay to not be eating a certain “diet” because everyone else it. It’s okay if that way of eating doesn’t work for your mind or body. • • We don’t have to label the way we eat or restrict ourselves. For me, at least, that causes so much problems around eating and food that I just find unnecessary. And of course some of us (including myself!) have ways we have to eat based on our health but that’s part of this too. And it may not always be that way. Basically, just be okay with that. Bruschetta Chicken with Asparagus and Sweet Potatoes🐔🍠🌱 . 40 minutes to cook & makes 4 meals! 👉For the Chicken ➖ Made by @michaelwilliamsfitness 2 lbs Chicken Breast 2 Tbsp Olive Oil 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic 1 Tbsp Onion Powder 1 Tbsp Oregano 1 Tsp Coriander Salt and Pepper 👉For the Bruschetta 5-6 Roma Tomatoes (2 cups worth) 3 Tbsp Grated Parmesan Cheese 10-12 Fresh Basil Leaves 1 Heaping tsp of Minced Garlic 2 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar Salt and pepper to taste 👉For the Sweet Potatoes and Asparagus 1 lb Asparagus 2 medium Sweet Potatoes 1 Tbsp olive oil Salt and pepper to taste 1 tsp garlic powder for asparagus . . PREPARATION: 1️⃣Preheat your oven to 400°F. In a ziploc bag, add the chicken, 2 Tbsp olive oil, 1 Tbsp garlic, 1 Tbsp onion powder, 1 Tbsp oregano, 1 tsp coriander, and salt and pepper to taste. Allow the chicken to marinate while you chop your vegetables. 2️⃣Peel and cut your sweet potatoes into a medium dice. Cut the ends off of your asparagus. Add to a sheet pan, drizzle with 1 Tbsp olive oil, season with salt and pepper and season the asparagus with 1 tsp of garlic powder. 3️⃣Bake for 10 minutes and then flip the potatoes. If the asparagus have finished, remove them from the pan. If not, continue cooking for an additional 5-10 minutes until both the asparagus and sweet potatoes are soft. 4️⃣Wash and cut your tomatoes into a small dice with seeds removed. Roughly chop the basil. 5️⃣Grate your parmesan cheese. I use shredded parmesan and grate it in the blender. 6️⃣Add the tomatoes, parmesan cheese, basil, garlic, and balsamic vinegar to a bowl and mix. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let it sit to allow the flavors to mix. 7️⃣Start a grill pan over medium high heat. 8️⃣Cook the chicken on the grill pan for 4-5 minutes on each side or until an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. 9️⃣Divide all ingredients evenly 4 ways and add to each of your containers. Fried rice is my favorite food 😋 so making it healthy is a huge necessity in my life! This was all frozen steam-fresh veggies (cauliflower rice and a little frozen veggie blend) heated in a skillet with sesame oil, ginger, and coconut aminos. Added some egg at the end and boom! Delicious! Comfort food made healthy. Gotta love it!

Put simply, losing weight or gaining weight is all about calories in and calories out. To lose weight you want to expend more energy than you take in, and to gain weight you want to take in more energy than you expend. Once you have this down you can take this a step further and manipulate your macros to further your fitness goals. For those of you that don’t know, Macros are the actual nutrients in the food that we need to grow and stay healthy. This is also important in having a well balanced diet between the 3 main macros (protein, carbs, fats.) Ever wonder why you can eat a huge fast food meal such as zaxbys or Taco Bell and then be hungry not too long afterwards? Simple, that kind of food isn’t very macronutrient rich & won’t yield u much benefit. Get your macronutrients from lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats instead. If you're like me and always on-the-go, you probably need your fridge stocked with a bunch of grab-n-go healthy snacks for you and your kiddos. My favorite quick snacks are pre-cut fruits or veggies for the kids. Sometimes, if I know I'm going to have an extra busy week I will meal prep salads and other healthy meals that I can pull out of the fridge instead of taking time out of my day to prepare a whole meal. Been getting a lot of questions about apple cider vinegar lately. Now I don't know everything... but there's different ways and reasons to use this stuff. So first it's a natural thermogenic, so its gonna boost your body temp, thus burning more calories throughout the day. Keep in mind this is acid. So few may not be able to take it on an empty stomach. I don't recommend diluting with water either, as all this does is make a whole bunch of watered down acid in your belly which will feel nasty af. I say take it with meals, as it'll aid in the break down process of your food, keeping your digestive system on track, as well as having fat burning effects. Also try to avoid drinking water 10 minutes before and after meals so the acid is strong enough to digest it properly...
