The ladies in the Blue Cross Blue Shield kitchen couldn’t hold back their shock and disdain towards me. Finding me a crazy Indian, to be coming to Tennessee, to prepare fried chicken, their local dish, for them.
I can never forget how the ladies who were at first most unwelcoming, were later, most sad to bid me goodbye, as I left post lunch.
