The instructor said right before we got on the track "be careful, it's gonna be slick". As if I didn't already have a huge fear of riding on wet roads, I was expected to willingly ride on the track, on my first track day, in a total downpour. I couldn't believe they didn't shut down the track day, or postpone.
I thought to myself "what the hell... let's do this". My heart was racing and all I could think about was slipping out on the tight turns and I wasn't even riding my own bike!
The first time around the track was the scariest, then with each time around I got more and more comfortable. By the end of that session I wasn't even thinking about the rain and knew my tires had plenty of grip to keep me right side up on the track 🙏🏻. @
