Vibrant colors to start the day. ♥️ I'm doing a two week challenge; > 1 liter of freshly pressed green juice a day. I tested my amount of heavy metals and minerals at the start with spectrophotometry and will test them again after two weeks. Curious to see the difference (if there will be any). My ‘go-to’ recipe. Omega-3 fatty acid-rich, low in cholesterol, high on flavour: Salmon fillet with soya/tamari/teriyaki/black garlic teriyaki sauce (you choose), lime, and lemongrass (prebake) INGREDIENTS Half a side of fresh salmon fillet (or 4 pieces of salmon) Marinade: * 150 ml of black garlic teriyaki marinade, or just teriyaki sauce, or soya sauce with 1 tbsp of honey * 1 red chilli, seeded and chopped * 1 bunch of coriander, roots chopped finely (save leaves for finishing) * 5 cm piece of ginger, peeled and grated * 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped * 2 lemongrass stalks, finely chopped To finish: * Coriander leaves * 1 lime * 4 spring onions, finely sliced * 1 red chilli, seeded and finely sliced RECIPE 1. Heat oven to 190 degrees C. 2. Mix the marinade ingredients together and place in an oven-proof dish. 3. Place the salmon, skin side up, into the marinade. Cover and leave (in the fridge) for around 30 minutes. 4. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, until just cooked. Occasionally baste the fish but DON’T overcook it! You can always give it a quick blast under a hot grill to caramelise the top 🔥 5. Sprinkle over the coriander, chilli and spring onions. Squeeze over the juice from the lime. Add chilli, for extra heat 6. Serve with steamed rice.

Green bananas are prebiotics...well maybe not this green but bananas that are slightly raw still, not soft and spotty, are a great food source for our microbiome. So what are prebiotics?? They are insoluble plant fibers that are food for our gut bugs helping to improve a number of gut related, mental, cardiovascular and endocrine disorders. Feeding our gut bacteria on a daily basis with prebiotics is a great long-term option to rebalance the populations and promote wellness and vitality.
