Forever my go-to snack @clairesgoodness almond butter 😍😍 WHY is nut butter the perfect snack??
It’s full of healthy fats, protein, and fiber, all of which give you sustainable energy and keep you full! Everyone is different, but I personally feel my best eating more fat and less carbs in my daily diet, so it’s the perfect lower carb snack 🙌🏻
And it can always be paired with carbs like rice cakes, fruit, oatmeal, etc if you prefer more carbs in your diet 😜 You need some fats and protein with them to make them more satisfying and prevent that blood sugar spike!
I prefer raw or sprouted almond butter to peanut butter or because it has twice as much fiber and micronutrients, and the high temperature roasting of the peanuts destroys their healthy monounsaturated fats (also true for roasted almond butters!!). Peanuts also contain a carcinogenic mold called aflatoxin 🙀 Fine to have every once and awhile, but almonds are much better if nut butter is a daily staple for you like it is for me!
