Another great day in Tokyo. Thank goodness we are walking all this food off. .
Today we started in Asakusa. We came for the Benitsuru pancakes, but since this little sleepyhead didn’t wake up on time, the only resos left were for after 5pm. So, instead we grabbed some street food at Nakamise shopping street - daigaku-imo (sweet potato snack) and menchi katsu (fried ground meat). We shopped around a bit then headed to Akihabara, a place known for fan culture. We stopped by Henry’s Burgers for a bite (yes, a bit weird to get a burger in Japan maybe, but these burgers are so good) and then I bought one too many toy figurines. We headed back to Shinjuku (and made it through rush hour traffic in the subway) for some tsukemen (dipping ramen) at Fuunji. The line up was long, but super quick. I couldn’t take good pictures of the meal because there was literally a row of people standing behind me waiting to eat. It was incredibly rich, but so delicious. After dinner we went to Ben Fiddich for some cocktails and then called it a night. ✌🏼 .
