It’s hard being a woman! Between make up, personal care, feminine care products.. it’s confusing! Especially when you look into them and find out that no one is looking out for your best interests. I hear it all the time, “they can’t put stuff like that in there.” Or “ if it’s that bad for us they wouldn’t put it in our products.” But when there is not anyone telling them what they can and cannot include, they will. There are only 30, yes I said 30 harsh chemicals and/or toxins banned in the U.S. The beauty industry is not regulated people! And companies will put whatever they can on their products such as “natural,” “organic,” “vegan,” “for sensitive skin” and all of that means nothing. More than likely the first ingredient is going to be a skin irritant or causes organ toxicity, some causing asthma, ADHD, even cancer and so on.
I was told by my doctor when I was pregnant that I cannot use certain products while pregnant and that sparked it all. I wanted to know why and thought well, if it’s not safe for my unborn baby then it can’t be good for me. This is why I made the switch to safer beauty, and I’m never turning back. Knowledge is power and taking a stance is going to help our children and our grandchildren and so on to lead healthier lifestyles without having to guess what is harmful or toxic for them! Let’s talk about Beautycounter. I’m here to educate on safer beauty. Let’s get the word out. Before Beautycounter I was in the dark as well and I don’t want anyone to be left with the lights out!
