I get asked so often about my hair. Being a bleach blonde (from a natural black) requires a lot of maintenance. You can’t bleach your hair and expect it just to look great. If only! You need to be ready to invest time, money and effort into keeping your locks looking and feeling healthy from the inside, out. After all, blonde hair isn’t forgiving if its in bad condition. 👎🏼
What you eat affects the health of your hair, skin and nails, so make sure you have a balanced diet and are getting the correct nutrients. Biotin supplements can also help. Find yourself a knowledgeable and experienced stylist! I’ve had my fair share of bad experiences in the past and it’s cost me years worth of hair growth, some terrible mistakes and given me an extreme phobia of hairdressers! Luckily the team at @hairbyshannonmurray are the best and are very understanding of my fears.
Listen to your stylist!! I do so much research on Hair because, well, it’s a hobby of mine that I enjoy, but a qualified, experienced stylist knows what they are talking about and can educate you on all the latest methods and techniques.
Healthy hair needs both protein and moisture. There are lots of protein treatments on the market and I have been known to do an egg hair mask every now and then! Messy and time consuming but effective!
Tonight I have slathered my hair in raw organic coconut oil, a great moisturiser for the Hair.
Summer has ended and with months of strong Sunshine, UV rays and bleach, I’ve decided to give my hair some extra tlc, so tomorrow I get my extensions removed and will be back to my short blonde bob which I love.... I’m pretty sure my clip in extensions will get used often and my obsession with superheroes and anime characters might inspire me to try a few wigs over the winter too! Think Storm from X-men or Poison Ivy from Batman maybe... who knows? 😛
Give me your suggestions!
So much fun to be had! 🌼🌈
