TMI warning! ⚠️
Since I’m tracking most everything in my health and nutrition these days, I’m also tracking my cycle better. A miscarriage, two c-sections, and two big babies certainly changes things when it comes to female health. Since I don’t take any kind of birth control or hormone assistance, it’s super important that I pay close attention to my cycle for my health.
Every month, I always feel like I’m coming down with something. I’m more congested in my sinuses and face. I feel major fatigue (like first trimester pregnancy fatigue), and my drive to complete tasks totally tanks. 👎🏼
I used to spend time vacillating between panic and guilt while experiencing these things, but having learned & absorbed fantastic self love and self care practices over the past year, I’ve learned to LISTEN to my body, and nurture it better instead of chastising myself for feeling “lazy” or “tired.”
My body is working just the way it should. I embrace that. And for today, I’m going to drink more tea, relax a little more than normal, and treat myself with love and grace.
Ok, let’s face, I don’t normally relax - I’m a stay at home mom who also runs a full time business, so any relaxing is 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
