I have been asked by many about my flexibility, a lot of people assumed that I was born with it lol
The truth is, I stretch almost every single day. Backbending was my least favourite stretch for the past two years probably because I have stiff shoulders and upper back, I found it hard to breathe in, I didnt have the strength to push my pelvis up, and I couldn't seem to see any progress in the first few months.
Honestly I dont know what keeps me motivated to stretch lol, I guess I'm too stubborn and I refused to acknowledge that my back is not flexible, I refused to have not so graceful arabesque.
I still have so much to work on but I just want to say, patience is the key in flexibility. You may not have it yet, but you will have it if you are persistent enough.
I hope today next year I will be able to grab my ankles at ease. -
